“Took my father out for breakfast this morning and had the nicest server. She was super friendly and had a great recommendation on what to get. I had the breakfast burger and dad had the biscuit stack. The food was great and very generous portions. When we left, Dad forgot his cell phone on the table. We only knew that because our server came running out of the door as we got to our vehicle. Unfortunately, I didn't remember her name but we are very thankful and will definitely be back.“

“We were in town for the Ohio v WVU game and 11 of us dined here.

It's a university run restaurant which gives the personnel real experience. Also, because it is university run, they do not take gratuities --which seems odd in this day and age -- but rest assured-- it does NOT affect any part of the dining experience.

We had a fabulous meal and the service was excellent. Sam was our lead waitstaff, but, because we had 11, others chipped in to help.

We're a motley looking crew, but we had a great time here!!

“I spent a night going around to all the bars around uptown Athens and found that The Union is where all the queers and indie folks hang out (which is exactly my kind of place). Also, their bathroom has fancy toilet paper, like charmin or somethings. Love this place. Also the bartender rendell is very kind.“

“This was my first time visiting Broneys. I was with my husband (his first time here too) and my daughter. We got a sampler appetizer, mushrooms, tenders and egg rolls. All of those items were delicious. I got the classic burger with onion rings, my husband got the mushroom Swiss burger and fries. My daughter got the tacos. Our waitress was amazing, friendly and very good at her job.“

“The employees were just standing around talking as we stood there waiting to be searved. The kitchen workers just stared at us and did not notify anyone we were waiting One kitchen employee would walk out to watch baseball that was playing on the TV.. The menu was crappy with little to choose from. The floor was sticky as well. We did not get any utensils sauces or crackers with our order. Nobody came to ask if we wanted refills or to even see how our meal was. I would not have left a tip if I paid at the end of our visit.“

“Please make an effort to cover the other brick walls in the same coating you have in the new part of the bar, because the writing everywhere else in the bar indicates that this action is okay. Some skinny dude with a tribal tattoo on his calf and a scruffy mustache threw my sharpie outside yesterday because he “caught” us writing our names on the walls. It’s everywhere in the bar, so I don’t think the staff should be trained expect drunk college student not to do it. This guy was just on some sort of power trip and wanted to be rude. He very easily could’ve just asked us not to do write on the walls, and we would’ve respected that. Like I said, the wall in the new part of the bar with that coating on it is free of sharpie/can easily be cleaned, so maybe consider doing that on ALL the walls to avoid your staff making stupid decisions like this one in the future. One minute you're relaxed, sipping your drink, and the next you're laughing at some ridiculous joke she cracked. Seriously, I'm convinced she moonlights as a stand-up comedian.

And let's not forget the most important thing: she remembers your name and your drink. That's right, in a world where everyone's a face in the crowd, Madisyn makes you feel like a regular. “Would like to say that everything about our night was speedy. from getting seated to getting our meals. Everything was absolutely superb. And would like to give a huge shout out to our waitress Olivia. She was absolutely amazing, and she really showed that she cared about her patrons.
