“Wow. Our meal at Salaam was one of the best I’ve had in a LONG time. We truly tasted across the menu- three appetizer sampler (hummus, tzatziki, and muhammara), vegetable coconut curry, chicken coconut curry, and chicken thighs mains, topped off by the Italian cake and gluten free chocolate torte.

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and unique enough to really exceed other flavor profiles of Mediterranean restaurants. The muhammara is a must. Everyone at the table gasped from the tastebud explosion. The curry was unbelievably unique- all the flavors and textures played out so well.

Every dish we had was 10/10. I don’t rate that lightly. It was good to the point we joked about eating there again tonight.

I did take off some points for service. Our individual server was fine, but some employees were yelling at each other in the dining room right behind our table (older woman to young bus boy) that resulted in slamming glasses/plates/bus tray, making for a loud and awkward experience.“

“Took my father out for breakfast this morning and had the nicest server. She was super friendly and had a great recommendation on what to get. I had the breakfast burger and dad had the biscuit stack. The food was great and very generous portions. When we left, Dad forgot his cell phone on the table. We only knew that because our server came running out of the door as we got to our vehicle. Unfortunately, I didn't remember her name but we are very thankful and will definitely be back.“

“The Brewpub was the perfect setting for my private event for approximately 45 people! The staff took great care of us, even opening a little early when we arrived to Athens ahead of schedule. The food was great, far better than most buffet food you encounter at events, and of course the beer was excellent. Sam and Chelsea were our contacts and we would absolutely work with them again.“

“We had the best time at West End today!! The ciders were amazing and the atmosphere was perfect but the star was the bartender, Sara! She was fun to chat with and answered all of our cocktail/mixology questions! By the end she made us a delicious cocktail (Midnight Stinger) that neither of us had had before but both of us loved! Kind and friendly staff.
It’s one of the oldest restaurants in Athens. Serve various meals and desserts.affordable prices and good atmosphere.
It’s not fancy.
Somedays, it’s loud, busy a little chaotic..umm it’s part of the town’s routine. It’s just like Athens a university town. It goes with the students’ vibe.“

“Please make an effort to cover the other brick walls in the same coating you have in the new part of the bar, because the writing everywhere else in the bar indicates that this action is okay. Some skinny dude with a tribal tattoo on his calf and a scruffy mustache threw my sharpie outside yesterday because he “caught” us writing our names on the walls. It’s everywhere in the bar, so I don’t think the staff should be trained expect drunk college student not to do it. This guy was just on some sort of power trip and wanted to be rude. He very easily could’ve just asked us not to do write on the walls, and we would’ve respected that. Like I said, the wall in the new part of the bar with that coating on it is free of sharpie/can easily be cleaned, so maybe consider doing that on ALL the walls to avoid your staff making stupid decisions like this one in the future. “We stopped for an early dinner but ate in the bar since the dining room didn't open until 5. The young lady tending the bar was also our server. She was very attentive and did her best to accommodate our requests. It was disappointing that with the oysters unavailable that mussels couldn't be substituted since the dining room wasn't open yet.
The chicken wings were good, we'd add the suggestion that a dry rub option would be nice.“

“The employees were just standing around talking as we stood there waiting to be searved. The kitchen workers just stared at us and did not notify anyone we were waiting One kitchen employee would walk out to watch baseball that was playing on the TV.. The menu was crappy with little to choose from. The floor was sticky as well. We did not get any utensils sauces or crackers with our order. Nobody came to ask if we wanted refills or to even see how our meal was. I would not have left a tip if I paid at the end of our visit.“

“Pretty standard B-Dubs experience overall. It’s a great place to watch games, tons of TVs and a solid atmosphere, especially with a group. The wings have always been good and come out hot, and there’s a ton of sauce options. Service can be a little slow at times, especially when it’s busy, but the staff has always been friendly and it’s never been a bad experience because of it. Still one of the better spots in Athens for hanging out and catching a game.“
