What a delightful treat. Our son chose this place for his graduation dinner and we were all very pleased. Julia was an awesome server and added to the delicious food. The decor is different, but you need to see it because it's awesome. We highly recommend this place as a must stop while in Athens.

My partner and I decided we would visit this little spot on a whim early on a Friday night. I had originally set the reservation for 7pm but called and ask to switch it to 5pm, no problems at all. We were promptly seated in a whimsical little outdoor patio, and informed on the daily specials. We were also informed that if we wanted any adult beverages, to head across the street to a small store and get what ever we would like (love this concept). The menu was on the small side but intriguing. We opted for a tom yum soup, artichoke parmesan dip and seafood crepes.
The soup was delicious, it had rice and just the right amount of spice to warm us up on a fall day. The artichoke Parmesan dip was served with pita and tortilla chips and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Lastly, the seafood crepes were spectacular, it was served with yellow rice, veggies and a delicious sauce. We had previously told our server that we would be sharing the entree, they kindly spilt it up on to two plate for us without asking, which we thought was very kind of them. Each entree is served with your choice of a soup or salad, we opted for the salad with a ginger soy dressing, delicious and refreshing! Overall we would highly recommend anyone to try out purple chopstix, try and sit outside if you can!

We were looking for something fresh and unique and we found it here! The food was indescribable ... literally! We struggled to put a label on what we were eating. Turns out that we had was Asian, Italian, and Spanish, but each meal was more of an amalgam of different flavors. It was delicious! The prices weren't bad and the portions were just right ... not too much that we were miserable. Just right.

The food, the servers, the atmosphere, all amazing. I can be a food snob, and Purple Chopstix is one of the best places I have ever eaten.
Quirky local restaurant with an excellent chef. Wide variety of food many Asian fusion.
Where do I start? Lived down here for years and never went to the place because the best Chinese in town was right down the street. Turns out this is exactly what I expected a trendy pretentious little joint with the weirdest decorations you can imagine. Walked in late on a Friday and the place is practically empty. Only one couple in front of me and they've been waiting like 20 minutes. The woman in charge was running around like a chicken with her head cut off fussing and sweating like a Karen. 10 more minutes later and she finally seats the other people and leave me standing there for yet another 10 minutes! 3 or 4 empty tables where I could have sat down and waited but no. Finally she approaches me and says do I have a reservation? Excuse me? No She walks away! Finally the one only other waitress walk me to a table that was right in front of me. Another very long wait while the one or two other tables get served and leave. She finally gives me two menus and there's only like two Asian dishes on it. Mostly pseudo Italian pasta. So I settle for the one Asian stir fry thing and it comes with a cup of soup so I ordered the tom yum thai soup. Another long wait and finally some green tea comes out. Meanwhile another couple came in after me and already had their dishes on the table. Soup was kind of strange and overly spicy. It seems like I was there for hours when the original fussy Karen brings my dish. I try a piece and the rice and of course it's cold. She comes back and I tell her this and she lies and tells me she watched the chef plate it just then. Very nasty so I said no it's been sitting back there for a while. Almost immediately the other waitress comes right back out with the same plate and I asked did they microwave that? She says no I just brought it out and I tell her the other woman had just put it on the counter and left it after I sent it back cold. She was actually very nice but the other one, no reason for it. She said the chef would be glad to do it again I said no forget it I'll just pay for the soup. I told her the other Karen was unnecessarily nasty, I left a nice tip and said do not give that to the other woman. Don't live down in Athens anymore so I won't be returning to this particular spot. Amazing how people who work in restaurants obviously hate their job or despise the people. A perfect restaurant for chef Gordon Ramsay. The one star for services for the Karen not the young lady who seemed a bit trapped in her position.

I waited tables there a few months back, and frequently brought home food which was always delicious so this is a slightly biased review right off the bat. First time going back tonight for an actual sit down and everything was so good. Even having tried nearly everything on this menu, it still took me a hot minute to decide what I wanted tonight— there really are that many good options here. I ended up picking red curry and it was ballin. Pro tip: ice cream (when available) on top of the homemade chocolate raspberry cake. Other ex employee pro tip: the salad greens are fresh daily and the sesame soy dressing is the bomb.
