The Tom Yum soup was amazing. The balance between sweet coconut with a little hint of spice was delightful! The service was great. Didn't realize they didn't have any alcohol selections on site, but you can BYOB. Which is nice, but I wasn't going to leave and come back since it's not a deal breaker for me. Posting this so others know in advance. Hopefully, next time, the weather will be better and we can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful outdoor area.

I can tell that the atmosphere is something to enjoy on its own, and the service was good however the food was not worth the price. I understand that me being GF can be difficult but unless you want Costco tortilla chips there is not really an option. Along with that the soup portion for the price was not worth it, I personally really feel upset leaving a restaurant having paid full dinner prices and planning on just making more food when I get home. Me my husband and our two year old had dinner and the only one who left satisfied was the toddler. I would consider the experience had and am not really inclined to return.

Went on the advice of many a parent comment on OU Parents’ social media pages…this restaurant is a gem and I wish we’d discovered it years ago! Such a wonder atmosphere, great service and such unique and delicious meals!Dietary restrictions: We asked about certain ingredients for food allergy reasons and they were very thorough in their answers!

Loved the natural forest behind the storefront with the stream flowing by us. It was such a contrast with the busy Richland Ave in front. It was a cute little place to eat.

Purple Chopstix is very unique and its food is a testament to that. The menu is different each time I go, which is fun and allows me to try new foods. The staff are so sweet and helpful when asked about the menu and recommendations. The food itself is good, although it seems to take a while to make. Also, please be aware that this restaurant is BYOB!! As for ambiance, it's very lowkey and the decor is eclectic, which can be overwhelming, but it is overall very cute and a pleasant place to eat.

Great eclectic place that's an asset to Athens. Good menu and it's BYOB. Always plan a visit when we're in the area.

Great food and service. Outside seating is highly suggested.

We were on a long road trip and needed a warm dinner? So based on some online recommendations, we took a detour to Purple Chopstix, Athens OH, Purple Chopstix is very close to the Ohio U. campus. The ambience is eclectic and delightful. We loved the soothing sound of water and the option to be seated outside - which is actually a private covered deck in the back overlooking nature. So I have some major food allergies and the lady that served us accommodated all of them. More importantly, the chef made the modified dish so delicious, I was left licking my fork! The rest of the family were also very impressed with their picks from the menu. This experience was well worth our longish detour and I will surely seek it out again if I am in the area.

Their food is out of this world. Also the owners Gabe and Asia are the kindest people I've ever encountered in public restaurant.

I previously dined at Purple Chopsticks as a vegetarian, and in recent years as a vegan. Last week's vegan dinner was for the purpose of celebrating our anniversary. We were shown to a table for 2, outdoors, in a secluded little spot that I didn't even know existed! I ordered the red curry with tofu. I told them that I'm vegan and they cooked it accordingly. Yum! My husband had the sesame ginger tofu salad and it was delicious! They made it without feta for him. This quirky little spot displays wonderful art, mostly from the local Passionworks Gallery. It is my favorite restaurant in Athens!
