This was my first experience with Indian food and it did not disappoint at all! We got the chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, Navrattan Biriani, samosa, and garlic Naan bread. It was all super good food and we have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow for lunch 😃. We will definitely be back to try new dishes!

We ordered an affordable feast as carryout to try a bunch of things. Everything was so good and I appreciated everything could be ordered as mild. We will enjoy leftovers for days to come. A gem of Athens. My favorite was the chicken tikka masala or lamb curry.

The Star of India is not just about food. It is about community. It is about belonging. Everytime we crave for a good Punjabi meal, we go there and they have never disappointed us. Great prices, delicious food. I love the Indian songs they ususally play. The music isnt loud though but it gives you good feel of the place. Its a great restaurant serving locals not just in the town but in Southeast Ohio and beyond.

After a long, tiring day, all we craved was something simple with chicken. This was the only place open, so we called and placed an order for pickup. I asked for a recommendation, and the staff member on the phone suggested chicken pakora. I requested something tandoori-style instead, and they kindly suggested the chicken tikka and tandoori chicken, saying it would be ready in 15 minutes.
Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. The chicken had a very strong, unpleasant smell, was heavily dyed with artificial coloring, and didn’t look or taste appetizing at all. The chicken tikka came in surprisingly small portions, which didn’t feel worth the price. Sadly, we couldn’t even get through a bite, we ended up throwing the whole thing away!
We had ordered based on the great reviews and high ratings, so it’s hard to understand what went wrong. Maybe it was an off day, but we left very disappointed. Not likely to return.
