Taco John’s has become one of my favorite spots for a quick and satisfying meal, and it’s all thanks to their consistently delicious tacos and those irresistible Potato Olés. Every visit leaves me full, happy, and already planning my next trip.
The tacos here are absolutely spot-on. The shells are always fresh and perfectly crisp, giving that satisfying crunch with every bite. The seasoned beef is flavorful and juicy, and the toppings—shredded lettuce, cheese, and just the right amount of sauce—are always fresh and generously portioned. They have a great variety too, from classic hard and soft tacos to their specialty tacos that are full of bold flavor. You can tell they take care to make sure each taco is made right.
But let’s be honest—the real MVP might just be the Potato Olés. These crispy, golden rounds are the perfect mix of crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, with seasoning that’s downright addictive. They’re great on their own, but when you pair them with one of Taco John’s dipping sauces (especially the nacho cheese or sour cream), they’re on another level. I’ve honestly gone there just for Potato Olés more than once, and I have no regrets.
The staff is always friendly and efficient, making sure orders come out quickly and accurately, even during busy times. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Prices are fair for the quality and portions you get, and I appreciate that I can enjoy a tasty meal without spending a lot.
In short, Taco John’s delivers exactly what you want in a quick-service restaurant: delicious food, great service, and a few menu items you can’t stop thinking about. Highly recommended for taco lovers everywhere!

Horrible customer service. I sat there for 30 mins try to use the App as directed by staff then it didn’t give me my Free Potato Oles with my order. So instead of offering me a side of Potatoes for my wasted time I ended up canceling my order of the New Taco Burgers and Taco Tuesday items. I think if customers are try to use your online offer and you see them frustrated instead of losing a customer for good you would comp the side item.

I was going to try this because I love tacos and sounded good. I ordered on their app and put in Circleville location. I went through the process, paid for and I saw it was switched to the Athens location. I tried to cancel so I can pick it up at the location I was already at. (I went into the location that I am at and they don’t do online orders, which is probably why it switched to the Athens- nearest location 50 miles away 😢)Then I tried it popped up to call Athens location, I did and they can’t refund me or switch to pick up where already at. That policy needs to get changed. They shouldn’t be able to keep my money- the lady said it just popped up so the order wasn’t even made yet.

I am very disappointed in the food. It is usually really good. The potatoes were cold and not crispy. The Mexican donuts were flat, and I am pretty sure they were raw. They were tough and could not be chewed. Had to spit them out.
