A great community bakery with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I love the Village Bakery and will always give them 5 stars. They have been a go-to breakfast place for years, as I have grown up in Athens. However, in the past couple of years they have changed the way they made their breakfast sandwiches. They used to be so good, definitely a favorite. Now the eggs are chewy and sad. I wish they would go back to their old recipe! But until then, I’ll just get the quiche which...
Everything was wonderful, except the sand-which I had (egg & cheese bagel sandwich) was really dry. I think adding more cheese or a type of sauce would fix that! Aside from the sandwich, I enjoyed my experience!
Update: I still like the feel of the place, but otherwise it's just not for me anymore. 0 options for someone on keto. Coffee is no longer self refill for dining in, and both the first cup and the refill of a different coffee were kind of lukewarm.I mostly went for the ambiance pre-pandemic as it was a good spot to sit and work or read.
