Absolutely the Best Pie you'll ever eat! Just dropped in for dinner, the diner was celebrating their 20th anniversary, and we won a free pie! Every 20th ticket got one! How cool is that? The food is great too, down home cooking at it's Best!Update: Stopped for dinner, ribs were fabulous! Apple Cobb Salad w/ celery seed dressing was excellent! Butterscotch Pie.....OH MY! It was the best homemade pie EVER! I need to move closer to Backroads Diner!!!
We had been looking for some place to eat for a while when we saw the diner. It seemed as if everyone knew each other but we were warmly welcomed. Prices were very reasonable and portions were generous. The food was very good! Luckily, we did save room for pie for which they are well known . There were so many options! I had lemon meringue and my husband chocolate peanut butter. This will be our go to place when we are near Washington, PA at mealtime. Save room for the pie!

Always a wonderful meal. Less mayo would be good in the macaroni salad. Add celery and onion. Walleye was tasty. Looks like the pies are homemade. Nice place to eat 20 miles south of 80 tollroad on hwy 4.
