I went here on a Saturday after a trip to Aurora Outlets. The menu options were great. I opted for Mango Lassi, chicken biryami, garlic Naan. The biryani was some of the best I've had and I work / travel with a lot of Indian folks so have had my share of Indian food for comparison. Chicken in the biryani was very tender. Spices were perfect (they can adjust to your level), portion was quite large do I took half home. Server was helpful and perfect level of attention. I'll make the trip again with family soon.
The food is great, but it’s really unfortunate that they do not communicate the correct information. I ordered DoorDash and it stated that they were open and the dasher contacted me because they arrived at cafe tandoor and they were closed. I even called and nobody answered. It was a waste of time for me as well as the dasher.
This place seems empty all the time. The foods great. I eat alot of indian and this place beats them all.
My date and I came on a slow Tuesday lunch. The restaurant was dead with only two other tables and minimal to-go pickups. The waitress was fast and very polite. As for the food, It is some of the richest and most flavorful Indian food I’ve had. I like to get experimental with my orders, so I got the lamb biryani. The lamb was well cooked and not as gamey as some others. My date always gets butter chicken, and it was phenomenal. We also got the saffron rice and it’s great! The best she’s ever had. It’s an easy dish but a good classic. You can’t go wrong with the garlic naan either. The mango lassi wasn’t my favorite as it was very yogurty and thick. But I can ignore that. Since then, we’ve ordered take out a couple times and have been just as impressed. Cafe tandoor is definitely a great pick if you’re looking for easy Indian food in the area.
Been meaning to try this for sometime. Stopped in with family and we had three meals. All were well prepared and good tasting. I’ve had a lot of Indian food even in India. This was an authentic experience. Happy to see it in Aurora.
Amazing food
Owner was super nice and friendly!!
I’d definitely check this place out next time with my family there butter chicken is so different than others
The chef is able to taylor your spice tolerance to your personal taste. I prefer mild seasonings and they are very happy to accomendate. He came back to our table after the food was served to verify if the heat level was satisfactory... it was. I eat here on a weekly basis.
I highly recommend the garlic tomato soup.
Food is so tasty & delicious 😋
We ordered for party at my house.

A unique experience. A good restaurant. There is halal food. Salmon biryani and shrimp biryani are delicious with spices and tandoori grilled cashews. It is also good.. The naan bread is delicious with garlic and butter and plain as well.. The salad is normal and the sauce is good.. The yogurt salad is good.. The service is good. The employee is also nice.. I recommend trying it.

Food was such a disappointment! I used to love this place! I think they are cutting major corners-used frozen veggies instead of fresh; no cashews in the Navatarana tofu; pakora vegetables were so different than they used to be, and not nearly as good! It’s such a shame, I won’t spend money here again.
Very tasty authentic taste.

I recently dined at this wonderful Indian restaurant with my family, and we all loved it! The menu had a great variety, including halal options, which was a plus. We started with the samosa appetizer, which came with amazing sauces and a nice soup. For our main dishes, we ordered chicken korma, tikka masala, and chicken biryani. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and aromatic, with the biryani featuring walnuts, a delightful touch that I loved. The mango juice was top-notch, too. As someone who doesn't get to enjoy good Indian food often, I was pleasantly impressed. It was my siblings first time trying Indian cuisine, and they enjoyed the experience as well. The restaurant is very quiet and peaceful, giving off a cozy family-owned vibe. The server was very sweet and swift, making our visit even more enjoyable. I will definitely be returning when I fly back to Cleveland in the future! I posted a couple pictures below but you know it’s yum when you forget phone eats first as we quickly digged in !
