I cannot say enough good things about Melissa’s Cafe. My group of 60 people booked their food truck for our annual summer picnic at a local golf course pavilion. About 1/2 hour before the event was to start, Jenn, one of the managers, called to inform me that the food truck would not start. A repair service had been called, but the truck would not be repaired in time. What to do with 60 very hungry guests waiting impatiently? Well, Jenn and Chef Matt were like Superman to the rescue. The said, “Give us 40 minutes.” Exactly 40 minutes later, they arrived, along with all the delicious hot foods (8 items) that we had ordered, set us a hot buffet, and served the crowd until we literally could not eat another scrumptious bite. Kudos to this restaurant for going the extra mile to not let us down. So many guests said that their commitment to getting the job done, would make them loyal customers for life.

Delicious! The food was wonderful! The first time I ate everything on my plate. The potatoes were amazing with the sauce that is drizzled on top. Flavored cream was available but it is not always . I went on a good day! ☺️ It is small that conversation can feel like you are sharing every word with the table next to you.The server and hostess were cleaning the tables it would be more convenient if there was someone to assist. The employee all seem to have a good attitude.I will go back!

Today was my first time ordering food from Cafe Melissa location in avon lake ohio really enjoy the fried green tomatoes. And also the crab cake burger which was very delicious definitely will come back again. I was not disappointed at all And customer service was very nice and very helpful with the menu keep up with the good work.

My guess is that Matt no longer owns this restaurant. I have never had a problem getting seated for a table, but everything else, it's where they dropped the ball in service. The last three times that I have gone in the service has been so horrible that I need to keep going behind the counter to get someone to help us. Every time I do that, the girls are just standing in the back talking. The couple that was sitting next to us, said they had the same experience we did as they were leaving.
This place has gone way downhill. It’s dirty. Sometimes the food is served cold.

Not sure how this place is still in business. It is FILTHY. I’d hate to see the condition of the kitchen. Also, having one server for a whole restaurant just doesn’t cut it. Service was awful, place was trashed and filth everywhere.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice. The first time I got a burger. It was delicious. The second time I got a roast beef sandwich, which also was very good. The only problem was there was only one server for the 20 some tables that they have in the restaurant. she was hauling butt and she took the orders very good and did the best she could for all the work she had to do. I know times are hard and people don’t wanna do work like that, but they really need to get somebody in there to help her because both times I visited this restaurant we had to wait half hour to order and30 minutes to get our food because she was so busy

Food tasted pretty good for a Sunday brunch but this was one of the dirtiest restaurants I've been in. Full bus tubs and dirty plates sat on tables the entire time I was there. Our server complained very loudly to everyone who would listen that she wasn't supposed to be working.
I wish I'd taken pictures of everything but the one picture I did take was my bowl of cheddar grits with old smeared food on the side of the bowl when it was brought out.
Food was good but the place was a complete mess. Idk if I'd return or not.
