Stopped by Parker's Grille & Tavern for a late lunch, and overall the food was enjoyable. It was relatively quiet when we arrived, though it became noticeably busier about halfway through our meal.
I ordered a burger, while my mom chose the fried haddock. We both enjoyed our meals, and she especially liked the coleslaw so much that we ordered an extra serving to take home. I also tried the key lime cheesecake for dessert. It was decent, but compared to some excellent cheesecakes I've had over the years, it left a little something to be desired.
This easily could have been an 8.5/10 (B+) experience if not for a couple of significant issues.
The biggest problem came at the end of our visit. When we were ready to pay and leave, our waitress was nowhere to be found. We were seated within eyesight of the bar and attempted to politely flag someone down, but had no success. I understand that the restaurant had started to get busier, but there appeared to be enough staff on the floor that customers waiting to pay shouldn't have been overlooked. We ended up waiting an additional 15-20 minutes longer than necessary just to receive the check.
Then came the unexpected challenge of the afternoon: someone else's fish order.
Another waitress walked by carrying a plate of it, and whatever species that fish once was, it apparently had one final act of vengeance left in it. The aroma drifted through the air and hit our table with enough force to nearly make us nauseous...TWICE! I've encountered plenty of seafood over the years, but this one was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
To her credit, our waitress did apologize and offered us an order of coleslaw on the house, which was appreciated. However, by that point, we were more than ready to make our escape.
The food itself was solid, but the lack of attentiveness toward customers who are clearly finished with their meals and ready to pay ultimately brought down what could have been a very positive experience.

Food was really really great, our server was really nice and understanding considering we had a screaming baby and a crazy 6 year old. The food came out very fast for how much food it was and the smash burger I got was by far the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere wasn’t amazing but honestly the food and service make up for it entirely. I will definitely be back.

Our first visit won't be our last. The mussels were fantastic, and my Cajun pasta with langostios was incredible. My wife had the scallops that were also excellent. Our waitress was personable, attentive, and accurate. I wish I could recall her name. She was in her 30's, and thinly built. Well look for her next time we visit.

Met another couple for dinner on Friday night. Sandwiches mostly $15-20, but they had a great prime rib combo meal special for $32. Huge, thick prime rib. Excellent.
Would of definitely gave a 5 star but my medium rare steak was rare which they did fix and they weren’t busy so with the price of a 50$ steak you’d think it would of been done right the first time and they weren’t busy at all…no complimentary dessert or nothing which was fine… what I got was a have a good night thx for your money lol can’t say I’d go back..also my gals steak salad wasn’t worth the price….

First time eating here, my steak was perfect! my husband had the fish special, he said it was excellent. The waitress was attentive and very nice. only suggest would be, work on your risotto:) . Smashed cauliflower was seasoned great. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for the excellent meal.
