I’m not sure if it was an off night or what happened but it was a mess. We were greeted and our order was taken promptly, food came out within 6 minutes which was great. It ended there, food was chilly and hard as though it had sat. Tables not cleared of food and drinks from previous guests. No forks and only a small handful of spoons and butter knives, I went up and informed a young girl about the lack of forks but when we left it still had not been addressed. Employees discussing shifts, and personal business instead of actually working. Sanitizer was labeled exp at 2:10, we were in 7:30pm. If we had paid for this meal instead of using a gift card I would be upset instead of just disgusted. The sweet iced tea is was the only positive item consumed at this location. Hopefully this is fixed sooner than later

This place for me hit for longest time until a recent experience I had. For the longest time, I was getting Chicken Tenders as my main entree. However I decided to mix it up recently by getting the “dirty bird” sandwich as I was craving a chicken sandwich. I had my food delivered via DoorDash and opened up my sandwich to take the first bite. Immediately I spotted the first issue. I asked for no crispy onions and there were indeed onions on my sandwich. However the real issue for me is what I discovered when I was nearing my final bites of the sandwich. I was completely oblivious at first however I then noticed a little moldy spot on the bottom bun. This for me is what did me in and I immediately called them to inform them about the issues. The person I spoke to was super friendly and gave me a $20 gift card due to their mistake. Needless to say I’ll never order a sandwich from here again. First and last time. Mac and Cheese was mediocre at best. The Hush Puppies and Banana Pudding though were a hit and I’ll definitely be back for those.Pic below

Had catered food for pick up. The food was great. Especially liked the green beans compared to others I’ve had.
Best customer service from the front of the counter workers! They all was helpful and polite!! ( this is hard to come by today ) I love the atmosphere and music playing to help set the mood for the barbeque atmosphere! The food was really good, but listen that BANANA PUDDING!!! I thought I made the best! This is by far the best banana pudding I have ever had!! I can't wait to come back and eat again soon! Thank you!

Decided to try City bbq for the first time as I travel for work and typically hit up Mission BBQ. Website stated open until 9pm. Walking in at 8pm and I get attitude from the cashier. 8:20 and same cashier starts slamming chairs on the tables around me. Brisket was dry, Ribs had more fat than meat and sides were very bland. This place has such good reviews so I dont understand it. Maybe the experience of an employee smashing chairs made it taste worse than it was but definitely cured me of ever returning. Do yourself a favor and go to Mission BBQ down the street instead. Food is MUCH better and employee's friendly. Picture was taken at 8:35... Notice sign states open and door unlocked, but all chairs up.
