Stopped at Cork and Barrel in Avon for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations for 5:30'but really didn't need them. There is a bar area with seating at the bar and several tables too. The wine menu was very extensive with a few beers, 2 draft beers and several cocktails. We were seated in the dining area which had several tables and chairs. We started with the stuffed dates and white chicken chili, Flatbread with pepperoni, side salad and pasta with meatballs....
Food was alright, nithing soecial. Waited forever for our food. Too short staffed to even get refills. Band was smoking right next to the tables. Owner/Manager was more interested in socializing with the band than picking up the slack for the short staff who couldn't get to all the tables quick enough. Super inefficient serving workflow, brining 2 drinks at a time then going back in for another table's ketchup, then bringing one other tables waters, etc. Won't go...
The owner is such a nice guy! Their food and “adult beverages “ are outstanding!!!! Love to come here and enjoy! You won’t regret coming here, that’s for sure!!!
