I went for the first time today and I will never go back. The male owner lied to my family and then laughed at us when we believed the lie. It completely ruined our night. It is astonishing that an owner would act in such a way.

Absolutely love Avon Dairy Treat! We've been going here for 20 years and they're exactly the same. I appreciate the high quality of their ingredients and that it hasn't been compromised over time. Orange Vanilla twist will forever be my favorite, but the Reese Cup Sundae, Strawberry Shortcake Sundae, Turtle Sundae, and Chocolate Malt are all AMAZING. I'm also impressed that in recent years they've added Dole whip! Every flavor I've tried has been delicious.

What a RUDE place. We just walked up at 8:50. They said we won't serve you we already cut off the line!! SO RUDE!!!
One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever seen. While handing me a shake, the employee let it slip off the counter before I even touched it. We both watched half the drink spill all over the counter — the straw never even made it into the cup. I thought she would just make a new one, but she looked at me with blank eyes. When I brought it up, she said, “You gotta pay full price for a new one.” Seriously?
It wasn’t like I drank half of it and came back complaining — I never even held it. What should’ve been an easy, fixable moment turned into a complete mess.
Then the owner stepped in and made things worse. He told us to go to the back (we were still in line at the counter). I thought he was going to make a new one but he was incredibly rude to me and my dad, basically yelled at us — “hey, this is your problem,” and slammed the door in his face. No apology, no effort to make things right — just pure attitude.
The level of disrespect here is astounding. Clearly, their pride and ego matter more than basic customer care. I will never return.

A trip down memory lane with some new twists! The “Big Lick”! Always a stop when back home. So many youthful memories. Lines can be long but they move quick, friendly staff. Very local crowd that cherishes this favorite home town place.

Open since 1970 and still owned by the same people. It hasn't changed at all in 54 years and that's what makes it so great I've been going there since 1974 and it's so nice to see a part of Avon that hasn't changed. And the ice cream is still excellent as always!
