I requested main level with no steps and were seated upper level, with steps and furthest table in back. Our drink orders were incorrect. No olives for the martini folks. Food was good but salmon piece was pretty small. We were compensated for incorrect drinks.

Service was poor from the beginning. We weren't sure what the ambience was supposed to be. Greeted by someone wearing a baseball hat and gym shorts. The lights are dim with dimmable lamps at each table, so you believe it's more mid to upscale. The musician sounded good but the speakers made it hard to have conversation were we were sat. We had to ask about specials. When asking the server between too choices they just says their both goo and froze. Couldn't even offer a suggestion between two different style foods. We felt like such an inconvenience. We ordered our food, it came and we had no silverware until we had to track down a bus boy to get us some. There was no seasoning on the whipped sweet potato's or the French fries. No salt or pepper on the table. Server didn't come around. Pork chop was undercooked. Yes pink can be fine absolutely but it was to undercooked in the middle. When the owner or manager not sure whom came by when my card on table to ask to box up food, they asked how was everything. I said fine, the pork was undercooked and no seasoning. She said good and walked away. She didn't even listen to our response, don't ask for feedback if you're not willing to listen. Just overall a poor experience and won't be back.

Came with my husband on a reservation 530p promptly. The hostess made us wait. The again. And again. After 10min asked outside, 1st flr or 2nd we never been there before, we said inside I guess 1st. We came inside she put us far back in the corner by a window 2 top table. The server Tana very nice young lady, had guests outside patio more so than just us the 1st 30min. We had drinks, sweather weather sangria and orange cardimum old fashion for me very watery for both, drank our waters ordered stuffed peppers (2on plate were cold), the 2 crab cakes were great tasting but cold as well. Onion Soup ok not the best, and our dinners came out, those were ok but it had been 1 hr and our server had been so busy with the patio we only received water from her the support staff brought all dishes out and she came 3x nice person but mngt should not give servers both in and out tables on a Fri night. We truly were not happy at the end of the meal receiving a fee for cashing out, cash vs card whereas being told upon entering at hostess. Must start to be common these days for venues to charge for their merchant fees to a guests, we spent over 125 for 2 persons and to us was not fine dining. We also saw the pricing was different on receipt than the menu. 😕 Not good business practice. Atmosphere was of a cheersor winking lizard bar, and not intimate for a night out with my husband, back to nemos.

At first, I wasn't sure if this was more casual dining or fine dining. I learned pretty quick when I saw one of the weight staff members bringing food out wearing black sport shorts, crocs, and two different colored socks. The food was good, but could've been better. The crab cakes were good but were mushy and at room temperature. I also had French onion soup, which I have had better at other places. The one thing that confused me was the prices on the menu were whole numbers and exact like $16, the one I received the bill the price for the items went up to like $16.50. That was for everything. When I asked the server about it, she said that's just how they do it. If you want better food around the same price go to Nemo‘s Grille in Avon.

I was impressed with their ceviche appetizer, it was the best I've had since Florida. It was a very pleasant dining experience.

Beautiful historical building and decor. Staff was overly casual and inattentive. Food and ambiance were reminiscent of a nursing home cafeteria. Meh...

Favorite aspects of this restaurant are the outdoor seating, which the weather didn't quite permit on the day we went, or the cozy tables by the fireplace. We were seated in the upstairs event space, which lacks the character and charm of the rest of the restaurant. Our waitperson was "newer" and described essentially everything on the menu as "a favorite" without differentiating or describing the specifics of the dish. The Pasta Bolognese was a generous portion of overcooked tomato paste with meat. The flatbread special was very good. The other entrees were okay, lukewarm. The flatbread was out first w/significant delay for the rest. Attention to beverage refills was non-existent until we called the waitperson over late in the meal. The overall experience felt like we were at a post-funeral luncheon in a back room.

Food was very good. Our waiter was not. He was forgetful, inattentive and slow. This was our anniversary dinner and it was ok. Not sure I'd come back for a special day again based on the service.

I had a great experience at Verandas. It was a busy night but the staff felt like family. Our server Lucas was well mannered and polite. The food was very delicious and the drink selection was solid. Overall great experience, will be going back and requesting Lucas if he is serving!

Picked up a $85 takeout order and a dessert for my daughter who just had surgery. They ran out of the cream that was supposed to be on top of the dessert, so I asked if they could add an extra strawberry instead. The owner, Matt Heller, rudely refused.

A small gesture of kindness would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, the attitude and lack of customer care left me very disappointed.

The musician was wonderful, but could have been turned down a notch. Even though we were on the patio, conversation was difficult. The service was excellent and the food never disappoints. We had an enjoyable evening.

Lovely evening on patio with friends. Order more than one item on the happy hour menu to not be hungry.
