OMG if you want good, we used to call it “hunky food”, you have to go to Al’s. Slovenian sausage, cabbage rolls, chicken paprikas, sauerkraut! Yum!

My husband and I went there for the first time today. I had chicken paprikash; he had a sausage sandwich. The portions were very generous, and everything was excellent! I’m Hungarian, and this food is the real deal. It reminded me of my great grandmother’s cooking. We came from Canton, but will definitely visit again.

Been wanting to have lunch here for quite a while but the restaurant is only open 3 hours a day. We finally made it on time. Walking in, there was a small line of people ordering take out. The place is kind of like a cafeteria. You give your order to the cashier, who then fills your order in front of you. Payment if then made. Lulu went with the pierogies (very good). I had the stuffed cabbage rolls and a pierogi (excellent). There is a self-serving pop machine in the rear for your refills. Super clean. Nothing fancy but just great food. Make sure you ask for bread with your meal. A fresh slice of Cellone's Italian bread will be given to you. (The bread is so good, after the meal we went next door to the deli and bought a loaf to take home.) Street parking. Looking forward to going back & try a sausage sandwich.

Simple setting, but the local food is amazing. Slovene sausage, Hungarian paprikash dumplings, haluski, and pierogies.

If she gets your food wrong it's your fault, always hear her complaining about everything and they don't wash their hands, especially after using the cash register. But the bass attitude was ever worst
