I love going for icecream to our hometown shop! You are ALWAYS greeted with a huge smile and never made felt like an inconvenience no matter how big or small your order. They are fast efficient and oh so welcoming! I try something new everytime and haven't been disappointed yet!!!
I have been very disappointed lately. Everytime I have ordered in the last few months the descriptions have not been matching the food or the order is wrong. Last year I got the warm apple dumpling and it was amazing. Probably my favorite dessert they ever released. This year I have tried it 3 times and each time the dumpling is ice cold. When my husband got back with our order tonight( we live 5 mins from the store) I called. The girl I talked to told me they don’t not warm them up for to-go orders. Every order there is technically a to-go order because they are not a true sit down establishment. She said they put the ice cream on the side so I could heat it up at home. The issue is they top the dumpling with a lot of whipped cream so when you heat it up it ends up getting soggy and tastes like rancid milk. I told her that and she just said sorry they shouldn’t have put it there. That was that. Unfortunately for me it means I won’t be ordering anymore when my family goes there. I can’t eat ice cream and I do not like spending money out for food that isn’t not right. I hope that the owner will re evaluate this policy. Maybe even have your staff ask if we want the item warmed up when ordering.
I'm not a huge Ice Cream person like the rest of my family but Skoops never disappoints its my favorite place ! They are always creating something new and winning awards for it too.. with fall we LOVE pumpkin, I got the pumpkin roll ice cream with added pecans on top and my husband got the pumpkin pie sundae, they were both amazing 😋
We like to stop here after our trips to Akron Children’s. Staff is very friendly, ice cream is delicious, and we love the fun extras they put on their ice cream for holidays! (pictured is our valentines goodies)
Great, great place for a sundae! And probably more with a full menu!! But the sundae's are like paradise on a spoon 😋😋. A top spot for 🍨
drove 30 min after seeing dallas’s tiktok about the caramel apple pie parfait! there were long lines but we got through super fast and definitely didn’t mind waiting! the coney was the best my boyfriend and i have ever had, the parfait, peanut butter ice cream nachos, and apple cider slush was AMAZING! the only downside was the customer in front of us who was being very rude to the staff because HE ordered the wrong thing and had to pay a little extra for what he meant to order ( which he would’ve had to pay in the first place if he ordered it right lol) and complained about how long it took for his party of 11 to get their ice cream lmao(it was maybe 7 min). please let your staff know they did an amazing job and all were super nice and helpful for our first time:) we will 100% be coming back
Ice cream was good. Homemade flavors
We rode our bikes here from the towpath trail. It’s really easy to get there from the trail only about 3-5 minute ride from the trail head. Ice cream was great, excited to try more kinds. I’ve heard great things about this place and was happy to finally be able to go and we will definitely be back!
WOW, first timer, awsome place for ice cream. Great atmosphere, with early fun music. Had a s'more Sunday and it was good. If you never been you have to come to Skoops.
This place deserves all the praise that it gets. It works very hard to create good ice cream, a reliable product, and a good experience. The only thing that I personally have ever experienced that I might post here just as kind of a recommendation to the owners. Is to put something in front of non-spots. For example the the xd outspace next to the handicap spot and the space next to that. When you're really busy and cars park there. What ends happening is when they try to back out they almost hit people that are waiting to get their product and are in line. That's not the customer's fault at all. It's not really the people working within the buildings fault. But the last thing you want is owners is for a doordasher or somebody who's rushing in parks in a spot. That's not really a spot to back out really quickly. Hit a kid and keep going and then your business ends up in the news for a totally different reason than it has been. Either put cones or put pylons or pillars somewhere. Because unfortunately I think we've all come to the realization that you can put up as many signs as you want. People are never going to follow the signs. And I want to see you guys around for many, many years to come. So this is me saying hey, there were a couple of instances just while I was waiting in line on the right side of the building where people almost backed into little kids or strollers or adults. That's why the lines aren't there. I'm sure is that you see that those spots would impede upon the lines for the building. So you may have to take it one step further and put something to physically block people from parking there.
Also one other small thing. I love that you guys have branded merchandise. But to have your employees shill or try to sell people merchandise when they have lines going all the way back to the parking lot back is probably not the smartest idea. It may not seem like it takes much time. But to shill the water bottles in total with explanation may take about 30 seconds. If you've got 20 people in line 20* 30 is 30 minutes. So in the process of getting that long line down, your employees have now added 30 minutes to the amount of time. People are waiting in line just by trying to sell your branded product. Maybe when it's a slower day or when the line is slower, they can take time to interact with the customer. Get to know them. Explain the benefits of your branded products. But when you got a super long line, that's something you probably want to put on the back burner

Excellent product selection and service!
Always enjoy going to Skoops. They have a great selection of ice cream. They rotate in different sundaes regularly and they are so yummy. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Update: Stopped in and got something in the fall menu. I picked up a Caramel Apple Pie sundae and it was excellent. I might have had too much apple pie if thats a possibility lol.
Great ice cream shop with a wide selection.
This place has been on my list to try for over a year. We are from the Cleveland area so we finally made the drive down to check out Skoops. We were not disappointed. Right from walking up to the counter to receiveing our items the staff was outstanding. The items we ordered were delicious and already planning trip number two.
Skoops is just plain amazing. The ice cream is always great, and somehow, the service is even better.
