Food was so bland I was so excited to try it because it looked good in the pictures but there is no cheese no seasoning just bland nothing and the sauce looks like they left it out for hours and it crusted over

I was very disappointed with this go round of TT’s. i’ve been a customer here since they started in barberton! I used to have dreams about the consume juice and the elote.
I got a 3 beef pk and a small elote tonight and i’m lightweight sad bc it’s nothing like how it used to be anymore. the birria tacos are so bland and dry, no consume anymore, and the onions are cooked for so long I could barely find them. the outside is also sooo burnt.
THE FREAKING ELOTE IS WHAT’S BURNING THIS BRIDGE THO. I remember the last time I got elote, I had to change my pants after bc, I swear I was niagara falls-ing myself iykyk. the corn was flavorless, it was like crunchy water. the only thing that was flavorful was the cheese. even my limes fell apart and didn’t have juice in them.
I am so saddened by this. anyone know where I can get GOOD birria tacos & elote? 🥲

Disgusting tasteless my husband and I were both very disappointed......on top of that I got food poisoning from that dog meat
Definitely not street tacos I could of went taco ell and gotten better tacos. 5 dollars per taco is crazy and not even authentic. The birtia was blend not even a birria taste. If your at the bar and drinking anything taste good. Also When paid with card had i to pay a tip and no option to not pay.

I was excited for the food, but all I could taste from the beef was a burnt taste. No flavors, just a burned taste mixed with cheese. Maybe I will try in the future, but not likely. Service nonetheless was still good and my order was ready.

Listen. You would think that with the style of the food, it would be fire! I got the beef 3 pack. Very bland, and boring. Even the dipping sauce was meh. But I have to say that the people handling the food were definitely very kind and courteous. I only stopped because I walked into the bar and they had a drag show, so as I was going out the back I figured not let this be a waste of time. I thing the drag show may have been easier on the stomach.

It was over priced and tasted really strange. The consome was also very watered down. Biggest waste of $50 ever spent

This is the biggest let down ive eatin, "Mexican" food according to the menu , but this isnt no where authentic mexican , this is either a wanna be mexican restaurant or a white washed one, good way to ruin the REAL mexican food ??

Pros:
- Staff was nice
Cons:
- Elote did not have the traditional seasonings
- Elote corn was not grilled/roasted
- Elote corn was old and dry
- Birria had no flavor
- Small portions for big price tag
- Hide & Seek business
So let’s start off this review with the basics. Located down in Highland Square, you can find plenty of parking around there. No issues there (depending on time of day you go of course).
Signage out front, “Town Tacos”, there were a lot! However, we played a game of hide and seek to actually find it. Was it this door? No. Was it around the corner? No. Was it in Barmacy? Let’s go ask. Go inside and ask the bartender, “yeah it’s in here, go around that corner, I just seen the guy get here”. You mean to tell me they just got here at 3pm? When they’re supposed to be open and ready by 3pm? Not good.
With a sign outside barmacy that states “no one under 21” and we were traveling with our daughter, we were unsure whether or not we would be allowed in. However, Town Taco legitimately sits inside a cramped back hallway of Barmacy. The signage outside didn’t help at all direct us to where it was located, being first time goers, it would be hard to find it on your own.
We ordered a $47 meal which included fish tacos, steak tacos, birria and a sundae cup of elote. I’m a foodie and I love some birria and elote, but seeing as it was our first time here I limited myself to the “taste tester” version of their elote as we had never been.
We ordered our food and were told a 20 min wait.
45 mins later it was ready.
And we were the only ones there.
We take our food to go and try it at home.
Well. Elote was dry and old, no seasonings other than lime, mayo/sour cream, cheese, some cilantro and some onion. None of the typical seasonings that you find from traditional elote. Which was a huge let down for me.
My husband let me know that the fish taco was dry as the sand in the Sahara. No flavor just your cilantro and lime. His fish barely had any onions. Plus a side of tbsp salsa verde.
From his alone, it looks like Town Tacos relies heavily on salsas to do the flavoring and not actually seasoning the dishes themselves.
Our daughter’s steak taco was very well done and I don’t mean that in a good well done. No softness, no seasoning, no flavoring. Everything tasted the same. Show leather steak with no seasoning.
My birrias, my should have been flavorful birria tacos, were not at all. Dry shredded beef, soft tortillas (not even fried), and the birria juice was lacking in flavors much like everything else.
I can understand why this place has a 4.3 star rating due to the fact it relies heavily on drunken guests and not actual culinary connoisseurs. If I was 4 bourbons deep, I’m sure my rating would be much higher.

Order in the back. I was a huge fan of the Chicken Birria Tacos ? Will come back for those + the mozzarella stix! I tried my friend’s beef taco and wasn’t impressed, meat was too tough. But I’ll come back for sure and the service was PHENOMENAL. Being the heart of Highland Square, this would be the ultimate spot for a drunken order of tacos to smash before walking across the street and attempting to ride the giant metal Library Frog, Yee-haw!
Parking: It’s Highland Square so depends on the day. Might have to park at library or walk a block.
Kid-friendliness: It’s in a bar.

I ordered Birria Tacos, and they were not good, no flavor. Wouldn’t recommend, unless you want bad quality tacos at night
