Buffet is homestyle Amish prepared food. They do not use salt to prepare food, so the mashed potatoes are not good to me.The pies and desserts are wonderful!They have an amazing bakery as well as a store, but they're very pricey..like $250 for a queen size quilt.
It seems odd to rank a restaurant based on its shop in the lobby...so I won't. (PS the shop and bakery are a solid 4.5). The issue here isn't Amish food. Amish food is delicious. The problem is this version of Amish food tends to be bland and less than fresh. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. If you're looking to eat a large volume of food you're in luck. I have heard friends rave about this place for years. Sadly it did not live up to the hype. To start, we were brought rolls which were served cold. My husband and I both ordered the chopped sirloin. His was loaded, and mine was plain. They didn't ask how we wanted it cooked which is fine. However, mine came out with blood on my plate and cutting into it only got worse. The waitress agreed it needed cooked more and sent it back. The pie was delicious.
