Food is great. Some of the bartenders are fantastic, others you have to ask repeatedly for over 45 minutes to cash out because they're too busy sitting down or smoking weed to tend bar, and yet others steal from you than impose a 20% gratuity! Owner is VERY rude and doesn't run the business very well at all. Constantly out of liquor (like ALL whiskey lmao), napkins, hand soap (GROSS)... you name it! I really love some of the friends I've made here so sad to have to give up on what used to be a favorite place. You may get yelled at for ordering food off the menu because the cook doesn't feel like making it. My money is much better spent elsewhere!

First time at the hydrant and will not go back. I ordered the fish and chips. Three small pieces of fish and a small amount of fries. That would be OK except the fish was way over cooked to the point that the coating was starting to blacken. Now the french fries were way under done. The bartender was pleasant. Too bad because I could have seen the wife and I having dinner there a couple of times a month.

Was such a warm and inviting atmosphere...games, patio, food was great and the bartender was so sweet! The owner came out to talk with us... she bought us a round and played a game of corn hole with us! Down to earth and great peeps all the way around...ill definitely be back!!!

What a wonderful night! Celebrated a birthday here with some friends, and we had the whole bar to ourselves. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and patient with my group's high volume! Will definitely be back

i came 4/22/25 around 10 pm the server that served my group was extremely rude! She carded me when i ordered a drink which is not a problem i did not bring my bag so that is my fault and also not the problem. She did not ask to refill my groups drinks or anything. When we arrived i had order nachos as a start… she didn’t put the order in and came back 10 min later asking what we wanted . she had an extremely rude and condescending face. It’s almost like she was trying to be rude on purpose. I unfortunately did not catch her name. But we ended up just ordering the nachos and leaving because of her carelessness and rudeness and going to a different bar with better atmosphere. I did NOT leave her a tip because of the lack of customer service. As we began to exit she made a remark of “it’s nice to leave a tip”. Like yes it is nice to leave a tip when you have good service lol… But that was not the case. I can understand if you get a lot of minors coming in, it can be annoying. i don’t know if that’s what started the rudeness or what, I just happen to have not have my bag on me, which again is my fault, but the attitude the entire time like we were children hindering her day was extremely rude and the remark was the cherry on top. For all she new we were going to leave her cash. She needs an attitude fix and quick. I have never had an issue at this bar i’ve been here multiple times with family and friends so this is a first… i’m extremely disappointed and hope to see a change in attitude with staff. ESPECIALLY for a tip that would have been 4$ at most lol.

This was a quaint bar and pub that offered good food with good service. The atmosphere was a bit dark, and there were still Christmas decorations scattered about in April. It's definitely worth the stop for a quick bite to eat. I recommend the margherita flatbread.
