Towpath Tavern Reviews
Where to start... Seated at 5:45pm to eat dinner for my father-in-law 84th birthday as well as visiting a friend singing in the band. Our waitress Jenny was so helpful during our 2 hrs. and 10 min. wait to be served our meal. We had our 17 month old boy and a 8 yr old grandchildren with us. Loaded Nachos, I don't consider it loaded with meat, cheese, n jalapeños. I came home n added tomatoes, sour cream, n veggies.
Burger was just okay, fries were uncooked and soggy. $3.29 for 1 soda-Ridiculous. Over $30 spent on very mediocre food.

Towpath Tavern is a bustling local favorite, celebrated for its varied food options and daily specials. The staff is generally praised for their attentiveness and ability to keep things running smoothly, even when the place is busy. The large deck offers comfortable seating and different hang-out areas, making it an ideal spot, especially during the summer with live entertainment. The food, including the pork chop and broiled walleye, is often highlighted for its flavor and generous portions. Customers enjoy the extensive selection of drinks and local beers available. While some have noted a strong kitchen smell and issues with service speed, Towpath Tavern is still regarded as a delightful and reasonably priced hometown gathering place with consistent food quality. Reservations for the patio are recommended, as it fills up quickly for bands. However, recent reviews indicate some guests have experienced long wait times for food and service, which has led to mixed feelings about their visits.
