“Willie Wonka would fit right in! Fat Apple Bakery is so much more than a bakery. It is an ice cream parlor, a toy store, a fun house..a child’s imagination! From the moment we walked in our summer day trip, we were in awe around every corner! We first took the stairs to the 2nd floor where we were greeted by a candy tree. Inside, tons of kiddie rides, a k-nex amusement park, build a plush area and tons of toys for purchase! Downstairs, an ice cream parlor, bakery and candy store! Nostalgic items! When I say Willie Wonka would fit right in, I really mean it! There is an area of factory fun decor complete with their own Oompa Loompa! Candy prices are all over the scale so there is something for everyone! We chose pepperoni rolls (some of the best we have ever tasted) and donuts. The kids made their candy selections and were excited to pay with their own hard earned money. We would love to make a trip back for ice cream, but it was pretty packed. But if we have one complaint that would be that the restaurant take care of the patrons inside the restaurant first and take out next. But overall a good experience.”

“Friday the 13th happened to be my cousins birthday ? and we celebrated it there. The place was great and the drinks are a great price. I like how theres 2 entrances on the street. They also have a huge patio on the side. There os also a pool table and video lottery. Like i said before the price of the drinks ? are very affordable.”

The woman at the wondow was very short with me and was not very freindly when I asked about my order. There was some confusion with my order, but it was worked out and fine in the end.”

“Great food so good I got steak sub called the outlaw my exercises partner ate a foot long phillycheese steak and for dessertshe enjoyed and mite I add very loudly and uncontrollably body shaking she had a 9 in peace of cake that would be so amazing that what that cake is life changing and will put hope and reminded her thats why”

“Local privately owned Pizza/Sub shop. The staff are very friendly, courteous & professional as well as the owners. Most importantly, the food is very good & highly suggest the Italian sub is ? imo. Haven't had the entire menu, but close to half and can say that everything I've tried so far has been good.”

“Looking for the best BURGER in the valley? (Yes I said B̆̈Ŭ̈R̆̈Ğ̈Ĕ̈R̆̈ not roast beef) Arby’s in Aetnaville has the best burgers I’ve ever had in the Ohio Valley.
I’m not sure if all Arby’s have burgers like this one, but I return time and time again for it!!
They're thick juicy and cooked to perfection. Then curly fries with cheddar and mozzarella sticks are also amazing and always hot and fresh!

“This place is the best. My husband and I stumbled across this place on a date night and were so excited to see they had allergy safe options. Our youngest is allergic to dairy, eggs, tree nuts and a few others and since he’s only 4, we usually avoid ice cream places altogether since he can’t have dairy. We went back today and he safely enjoyed the blueberry pancake ice cream with no reactions. The staff was really friendly and even made sure to let me know they were using a clean scoop for his ice cream. We will definitely be back!💗”

“When traveling I like to try local places when able. I’ve found myself in Wheeling to photograph the Cathedral. Anyway, I stopped in for dinner, was seated quickly and water received immediately. I kept it simple and just had the burger with fries. It was cooked perfectly and arrived pretty quickly. (This place is not a burger joint, the have options, such as lamb for example.) Chelsey was my server, she did great as well. Would definitely return if I found myself in Wheeling again!”

“My only complaint would be the lobster might have been overcooked. The waiting staff was top notch. Server made sure I always had water and came back to us in a timely fashion to get our order. The food made me and my husband happy. I really wanted seafood and the potato lobster bake was delicious 🤤.”

We come here every year and we loved this particular Perkins. Cool thing too, as we were waiting for a food, We realized we had been talking to the Store general manager when we saw her picture on the wall. She was very friendly and. Personable. She even listened to one of my husband’s stories, lol. Highly recommend this place.”
