First time delivered here nice place, they open 8am don’t worry about appointment ,unloading time 1hour not busy ,overnight parking +restrooms available but be carefull who unloaded my trailer he did damage trailer floor lil bit

Athens Foods Inc. is a family-owned company that was founded in 1958. It is the world’s largest producer of phyllo dough. My Greek friends said that Athens’ phyllo dough is the very best in the industry. When I was making baklava, spanakopita, and tiropita, I was able to easily separate, layer, and butter my sheets of phyllo. Hardly any of my sheets stuck together or tore. This phyllo dough also tastes delicious.

Recently, I learned how to make the Greek foods baklava, spanakopita, and tiropita. The Greek ladies who taught me how to make these foods said that Athens Foods Inc. makes the best phyllo dough compared to other businesses, and this dough is the only one that they now buy. Athens Foods Inc. has been in business since the 1960s, and they are the largest producer of phyllo dough in the entire world. Phyllo is a type of unleavened bread that is very thin. Athens's phyllo is flavorful just like other business's phyllo, but the sheets of dough do not easily stick together or tear apart. I layered many hundreds of these phyllo sheets, and I agree that they were easy to work with. Almost none of my phyllo sheets tore when I was laying them down or brushing them with butter. When I occasionally tore or crinkled a phyllo sheet, it was very forgiving and easy to cover up. Please note that Athens Foods Inc. sells many other foods, such as kataifi, phyllo shells, and spanakopita, and maybe I will someday try them.

I received handmade walnut and honey Apollo Baklava (made by Athens). This “pastry” didn’t come close to baklava. No flavor, but yet overly sweet! I looked at the packaging, and the first ingredient is High Fructose Corn Syrup, 3rd is corn syrup, then further down is sugar and the 15th ingredient is honey and further down is Dextrose. I couldn’t believe that a company like Athens would actually put their name on that product. Disappointing! Don’t buy!
