Great locally owned shop! Absolutely beautiful and relaxing environment. Owner and employees are so kind and loving and knowledgeable. they have a super breakfast and lunch menu and pastries including lots of gluten free options!!! If you haven't been, I definitely recommend stopping in to check it out. Will be back soon on our next bike ride.

I have been a loyal customer of this place since day one. The original owner was the sweetest woman and she always had amazing staff. They were always so helpful. I am not certain but I know for a fact it has changed hands at least once, maybe twice. And let me tell you, it shows. I hardly ever see the owner or manager. I went last Friday at 4:30 pm and had the worst experience ever. You could tell she wasn't a people person at all. She was hunched over with no smile or grin while taking my order. She also never said please or thank you. Long story short I ordered 4 drinks and forgot to use my punch card. I went right back in about 5 minutes later to explain and asked for my last punch and three more on a new card, since I bought four. I told her I didn't care about the free drink but I wanted those punches. She looked at me and said "yeah, we don't do that." I said to her that your store indeed does and I asked again for the punches. She then says to me "I can't help you." I explained to her it has never been a issue before, the card I had wasn't old, and that I at least wanted one punch to finish the card. She snatched it from my hand to punch it and I snatched it back and stormed out. I wish I knew her name but none of them wear name badges anymore, and I left angry. I will not be giving this place my time or money for a long time. This was unacceptable and that girl needs to be fired. Also, whoever is in charge needs to rethink and reevaluate who they are hiring.

Good mocha frappe with fresh espresso. Nice place to relax. Cool history of the canal.

I haven’t been to Speak Easy in 5-6 years but my friend and I both wanted a little coffee before we went on a walk on the towpath.

I had been previously and was never that impressed but I was feeling hopeful that the coffee quality improved.

We were greeted with a bright hello from the girl that was making the coffees at the time and were helped pretty quickly but the girl that took our order was not friendly at all. I won’t hold this against her because she may have just been having a bad day but she seemed to just not want to be there at all.

We both ordered caramel machiattos and if I’m being honest they weren’t even drinkable. The drink looked like creamer with a splash of weak iced coffee in it…. When drinking it you couldn’t taste ANY coffee.

I’m also not sure if the girl even made it correctly because it didn’t look like a macchiato but more like a latte.

I love the vibes in this coffee shop and I love all the little things they sell but unfortunately they really lose me on the quality of the coffee. I will definitely give them another try just because sometimes it’s convenient but I think I will try something else next time.

This was my first time here but probably my last. I attached a picture of what my coffee looked like and there was at least 2 inches that wasn’t filled up to the cup. I also left a tip and I felt like the barista working was rushing me out. I came in the middle of the day so there wasn’t very many people in there and I was the only one in line, but I just felt very uninvited and a burden. I’ve worked in coffee shops for over 10 years and I really try to not give small businesses bad reviews, but the lack of friendliness and the presentation of the drink was completely unacceptable. I even mentioned that it was my first time there. It made me sad that I heard great things about this place and it didn’t measure up- plus this is the only coffee shop near my house so it would’ve been nice to not have to frequent Dunkin’ or Starbucks as much.

One of the coziest coffee shops around. Delicious iced coffees, reasonably priced breakfast sandwiches and a perfect space for work, fun or reading. One of my favorite places!

Stopped in today for a little break and a cup of coffee while riding the Ohio to Erie Trail. Couldn't resist trying one of their homemade muffins. Get the Butterscotch Carmel muffin, OMG! Friendly staff. They even offered to refill my water bottle with fresh water and ice, for free! Who does that? I highly recommend to all the trail riders.

I like to try one of their specials every time that I go here. I truly have enjoyed each and every one of them.

Their coffees are crafted with care. The owner and staff are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly.

They offer some baked goods and sandwiches. Their muffins are delicious.

There is a variety of seating options. You can sit at a table or on one of their comfortable couches. They have a good selection of board games that you can play while you are there.

They do offer live entertainment at times.

Came in to get a light lunch and a coffee. Let me start out by saying how welcoming and vivacious this shop is. You come in and the smells and the signage with the very unique modern decor. There is plenty of options for seating including couches and high top tables even outdoor seating and benches. The owner is wonderful and friendly. I am extremely impressed with how the experience went. Thank you all so much and please go check out this local coffee shop! You won’t regret it :)

They have a wide variety of sandwiches and drinks to offer. It's a cute little place My only compliment is it's super smokey inside from the food they make, and you leave smelling like it. They definitely need better ventilation. Aside from that, I'd recommend making a stop here.
