Nice little family restaurant. Good kids menu. Great wings. We enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, fish sandwich and the wings. The super hot sauce is for the strong only. The place is right downtown and a walk after your meal is highly recommended

There is a gluten free menu available online, and GF buns/breads are available upon request. Food was good and well priced. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that we ordered medium burgers, and they came out well done. Delicious nonetheless.

Update...... no more. GO TO ROOSTERS...ITS 10 MINUTES AWAY... 55 minutes waiting in food. Just told 10 more minutes...
I posted this update40 minutes ago. Stille no food... wow..... So we just moved back to Canal. We lived here for 16 years eating at Shades probably twice a week for most of those years. Everything was great. . We just moved back 2 weeks and we have been here 3 times. Man, the service has taken a hit. Servers are nice but super slow. We have sat for about 10 minutes 3 times. And they are not busy. Please management get this fixed.
