So the oxtail and rice OMG! Let’s just say I’m hooked and want it everyday. The bomb.com it’s a must and don’t want to disappoint my stomach and try anything else., but I will eventually.

My wife and I went into this location on 11/03/24 to purchase food. Before we started ordering the lady said that the oxtails and curry chicken wouldn’t be ready until 3 pm so we leave. 2 hours later we call to place an order and the lady again says that it’ll be 45 minutes longer. Needless to say we didn’t get anything. Why open a business and not be prepared to serve customers?! Why have items on the menu that aren’t available? I will not try again but hopefully y’all have better luck than us.

We had a most wonderful experience attending Val’s of the Caribbean. The Oxtails and Jerk chicken were very delicious and nutritious. The customer service was just as great as the food. I personally intend on returning to sample the entire menu. Again this spot is definitely a must go to spot. Thank for such a wonderful experience.

Best Jamaican food IN THE CITY ?

Food was very dry. When I called the store they told me “ all the food must be like that”. Nasty customer service and dried food. Very disappointed

I've been going to Val's since 2016. It's 2024, and I still visit the restaurant four times per week. Love the oxtails, the jerk chicken, the Lemonade, and the wings!

The jerk was very tasty. The rice and peas were dry and tough. Cabbage was decent. The plantains lack luster. Prices were reasonable. Will try again. Maybe they were having an off day!?

Flavorful and delicious. Ox tail and jerk chicken meals. Rice the mac plantains was great!

This place used to be good and consistent. The past 3 times I've attempted to order, either nobody answers the phone or they say food won't be available for a few hours (this happened today). If you open at noon, why isn't the food ready when you open? The last time I did get food, they completely left the jerk sauce off my chicken (which was also dry/old) and the sides were cold. The curry goat was lumpy too. I doubt they'll get any business from me again, even if they actually have food available when they open.

My kids love the food. However, they can never keep a full menu.From the 2 times we've eaten there, they never seem to have any fish. Hence why I haven't eat there (pescatarian).
