Had a delightful 43rd Anniversary dinner last night at The Dessert Inn. My “Bride” had a fillet kabob & I had the Rack of Lamb and both were delicious! Of course it was served with the traditional Dessert Inn platter of Syrian Rice, potatoes, Greek salad, & garlic rolls. Our daughter phone in & surprised us with deserts: rice pudding & balklava cheese cake!!!
Being a veteran, I went there on veterans Day and they have nothing for veterans. When I was in the service over seas I always wanted KFC. It reminded me of home. I feel let down some how. With that being said, I still love there food.
Definitely a place catered to older white folk, as the flavors were quite muted and not as bold as I was expecting from this style of food. It was good but pretty bland. Servers were great and a decent atmosphere, but boy does it need some more seasoning, the mozzarella sticks and the salad part of the family platter, were perfect though.
