Awesome place. Outstanding service. Food is fantastic!!
We stopped by today in between our son's baseball games.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service was amazing, and it was reasonably priced!
Can't wait to go back next time we're in town!
Best burger I ever had!
Food is excellent here. Stopped the first time on Thursday May 1st .Came back the following Sunday.
So I will start by offering two clarification statements…
1) this small town bar/restaurant is known for their ½ pound burgers and fires and I simply wasn’t hungry enough for that. Lesson learned, and,
2) my visit was in the later afternoon of a weekday when NO ONE was in the bar. I understand this is a hopping place in the summertime and on weekends. Take that for what it’s worth.
My riding buddy’s had mentioned this place to me, so I thought I’d give it a try. Nothing about my visit was BAD. Likewise, nothing was phenomenal. Meh.
After walking into an empty establishment, I was greeted and offered a menu. A few minutes passed and a cold beverage from Columbus Brewing was served. As I mentioned, I wasn’t really hungry enough for a huge burger and side of fries, so the Loaded Mac & cheese with pulled pork was the order. Without too much negativity, it was bland (no taste of the buffalo sauce), noodles too chewy—likely microwaved—and oily enough (maybe butter?) that it leaked through the paper liner, paper serving basket, and onto the bar top.
My server was semi attentive and clearly at the end of her shift, more focused on other things like childcare, as another server came in and actually took my payment instead. Don’t get me wrong. A business that will allow parents to have their kids at work when necessary gets extra points in my book. I won’t elaborate, but even during the slow time of the day, a young kid running around the place and behind the bar… I guess I’m too old fashioned.
Maybe I’ll give Sandy Bob’s another try. Maybe I’ll go when it’s busy with lots of energy and on a bike night. Maybe I’ll try the burger. Maybe.
We love sitting on the patio on a nice day. Burgers are incredible and unique.
Big outside entertainment area for smoking and enjoying the entertainment when they have it. Great atmosphere and people on both sides of the bar ??

First time visit - I saw you on the 419 Guy video and had my local relatives give you a try. They were happy so on my recent visit I wanted to give your famous burger a try. I got the bacon cheeseburger all the way with Mayo and mustard and the side of fries. I saw on the menu it was to be cooked medium so I didn’t request a temperature. I’m typically not a fan of thick burgers but I figured medium should be fine to keep it juicy and not chewy as with over cooked thick burgers. First impression - 🤩 Wow! Burgers came out looking amazing. I liked the thought behind adding the knife. You need to split the monster to get a good grip. The lettuce was one giant leaf that was giving me some issue picking it up. I actually thought the burger was sitting on top of the lettuce in the basket. 😆I finally just folded the leaf on each half for ease of eating. The burger had plenty of toppings - the bacon was nicely cooked and crispy adding a nice crunch and texture. The temperature on the burger was well, not medium. However bc of the way it’s cooked in the cast iron it retains its juices well and was well seasoned. I devoured the whole burger. Wasn’t a chance any of that was making its way back home. My biggest critique is the fries. They were seasoned straight cut fries as advertised but my question to the owner(s), why go through all the trouble of making an amazing burger and not serving fresh cut fries and/or hand battered onion rings to accompany it? IMO, you’re doing that burger an injustice. Overall the burger is top notch and recommended. Add some fresh cut fries or fresh onion rings and they might have to put you on Carey’s Mt Rushmore of hometown foods! ⭐️🌟⭐️💫🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍

Best hamburgers around. Fresh hand pressed patties individually cooked in cast iron. Will definitely be going back. Sandy Bobs was featured on "the guy in the 419."

First time there today. Great food and service. I will be going back. I highly recommend this place.
My aunt shared with us a tv clip about places to go in the 419 area code. The hidden secret of this bar/club/restaurant is its' half pound burgers cooked in cast iron skillets in the oven.
Sounds like a neat place to go to in Carey, OH - we all agreed.
Three of us got Bacon Cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. Mom opted on chicken and waffles; 3 tenders, waffle, fries and syrup.
The burgers had crispy bacon and fresh condiments, beautiful presentation. I missed the crusty exterior you get from a fried burger and it should have had some seasoning. The fries were ok, the tater tots better.
The chicken tenders were small and bought in frozen, but Mom liked it.
Cans of pop only a buck. Fountain drinks were not from coke or pepsi and the cola had a funky taste so we opted for cans of Diet Coke.
What struck us first when we walked in was the lack of regular tables and chairs. We found a high top table with barstools which were really uncomfortable. We swapped the chairs at the bar that had a back, for 3 of us. Mom had some difficulties in and out. Unfortunately for these reasons we won't be able to come back.
The restroom was adequate but not designed for handicapped folks the toilet was short and small. No rails. A hard pass.
Meals were about $14.00 each. I wanted waffle fries but forgot to order.
We spent several hours there visiting and the staff was very pleasant. A good day out for the girls!
Wheelchair accessibility: No. Bathrooms were not handicapped ready.
