“First time visit - I saw you on the 419 Guy video and had my local relatives give you a try. They were happy so on my recent visit I wanted to give your famous burger a try. I got the bacon cheeseburger all the way with Mayo and mustard and the side of fries. I saw on the menu it was to be cooked medium so I didn’t request a temperature. I’m typically not a fan of thick burgers but I figured medium should be fine to keep it juicy and not chewy as with over cooked thick burgers. First impression - 🤩 Wow! Burgers came out looking amazing. I liked the thought behind adding the knife. You need to split the monster to get a good grip. The lettuce was one giant leaf that was giving me some issue picking it up. I actually thought the burger was sitting on top of the lettuce in the basket. 😆I finally just folded the leaf on each half for ease of eating. The burger had plenty of toppings - the bacon was nicely cooked and crispy adding a nice crunch and texture. The temperature on the burger was well, not medium. However bc of the way it’s cooked in the cast iron it retains its juices well and was well seasoned. I devoured the whole burger. Wasn’t a chance any of that was making its way back home. My biggest critique is the fries. They were seasoned straight cut fries as advertised but my question to the owner(s), why go through all the trouble of making an amazing burger and not serving fresh cut fries and/or hand battered onion rings to accompany it? IMO, you’re doing that burger an injustice. Overall the burger is top notch and recommended. Add some fresh cut fries or fresh onion rings and they might have to put you on Carey’s Mt Rushmore of hometown foods! ⭐️🌟⭐️💫🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍”

“They claim to have the best bratwurst; it's definitely right up there. Great little store with a super friendly staff. They have a great selection of fresh and frozen meat. They also sell all kinds of sauces, seasoning, soup mixes and related stuff. They also have a decent selection of beer.. You definitely can't go wrong in here.”

“We held our daughter's wedding in the hall and reception in The Vault. Appetizers, bar, food and cake........ AMAZING. We could not have asked for better food and service from Victor and his people! He worked with us on our every request, and everything was perfect. We have received MANY compliments from guests on the food and the venue. I highly recommend seeing Victor for any event you need catered.”

“I love how everyone is very friendly and helpful.
The prices are a little steep, though.

Dietary restrictions: They have a few different types of non-dairy products. As well as no salt, sugar-free, and even gluten-free things.

Kid-friendliness: There are all kinds of different ice cream and Popsicles to choose from. There are plenty of snacks as well. Some healthy and some not so healthy.

Wheelchair accessibility: They do not have carts available. A wheelchair wouldn't have any issues, though, going through the isles and checkout”

“Got a Foot Long Sub on 5-5-26 around 8PM. Not for sure of the young mans name but he was fast, courteous and had a great demeanor. Food was great with just the right amount of toppings. It was a cold sub and ate 1/2 at 10pm and put in fridge and ate other 1/2 around 4am it was great and kept well. Will go back to Carey Subway as it was a pleasant experience.”

“Tyler & Adri are awesome! I come through here pretty frequently, and it seems like I always catch them on their shift. The vibes are always great, the food is warm, and they never forget my sour cream on my quesadilla. Overall, they’re a great crew to see when I’m stopping by to grab some of my Taco Bell favorites.”

“I just happen to be going through scutch today I noticed the tavern was open! So I stopped in and had a late lunch.. I have the Tavern plank burger. I believe it’s called with the mushrooms and onions and cheese, and I had chippers and a cup of the French onion soup!! it was all very delicious, but I have to tell you the soup was to die for!! it hit the spot”

“I stopped in while driving through town. It was just my youngest child and myself. We ordered a hot fudge shake, onion rings, smurf cone and a sloppy joe. Upon receiving our order I noticed my sloppy joe was not a sloppy joe at all, just plain ground beef inside a bun. I tried a small bite to see if my eyes were deceiving me. sure enough it was plain beef no seasoning or sauce. I was not happy with that so I took the sandwich back. I explained what I am used to as a sloppy joe (ground beef with a tomato base sauce). The young employee was rude without reason and when I asked to talk to the manager she came out and told me "you got what you ordered so thats what you get, we will make you a different sandwhich but at full price". I asked for a refund for at least the sandwich and was also refused that. I am writing this review so nobody else has the same treatment I did. All the other food I got was good but the sandwich was false advertised and the staff treated the situation very unproffessionally. 1/5 score from me.”

“Tonight at the steer barn I had the 8 oz filet, carrots, and mashed potatoes. My steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, like so good I could’ve hugged the chef! All of the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would recommend this place to any friend or family member. You have to try the smoked old fashioned as well! And get dessert. You’ll dance in your seat.”

“I've been coming here for 43 years. It's not fine dining, it's just fantastic BBQ with a signature family recipe that's been passed down. If you prefer sweet BBQ, this is not that. The sauce is a garlic tangy blend that is unique and delicious. The ribs are large, you get your money's worth. The chicken is great too. I've never tried any other dinners because those are too good!”
