Wonderful breakfast! Inexpensive and beautiful view!

Food was expensive. It was only fair. I would not go again. It was located in a nice place.

Wonderful reviews abound on the website. I based my dining choice on them, much to my chagrin. My order that day - French toast , bacon well done and orange juice. Shortly after receiving it I told the waitress that the French toast was undercooked and could I please get another order. She looked at it hesitantly, turned and took it away. When the next order of French toast was placed in front of me. I asked for butter and reminded her that I would still like to get some orange juice. She came back with the juice and by then I had taken a bite or two from the edge of the French toast and told her it was good, seemed to be perfect. Unfortunately, I had spoken to soon. As I neared the middle, the undercooked wet dough like gooey, slimy texture was reminiscent of my previous order of French toast which I had returned. By now, my taste buds were weary and I had resigned myself to the fact that breakfast wasn’t going to be a part of my day. I placed my fork down ever so gingerly next to the quagmire that stared back at me from my plate. Upon seeing the waitress again, I explained to her that once again the French toast was still gooey. With that being said her response to me was well that’s how French toast is. With a somewhat confused look on my face I stated perhaps they dipped it in the batter too long. No, no, she assured me that they just dip it quick. She even went as far as to show the motion with her hand at how fast and limber the cook could work the bread through the batter. Amazing as that visual was, I knew in that moment whose side she had chosen……. the cooks. She would have no more to do with this ol’ gal. My thoughts concerning french toast had fallen on what seemed now to be deaf ears. With that I picked up my bill that was lying neatly waiting to be paid. $17 and 16 cents later breakfast is over and my review abounds.

Yes, pie goes with breakfast.

We stopped to grab 2 pieces of pie, hadn't had any for awhile. Yuck, it was absolutely disgusting. Pie had to been sitting out for a day if not two, had a hard film on the top of it.
Will never ever stop there again.

The Bay is the latest name of a landmark location for great views and good food. Originally called me L&K restaurant, it was name Pullman Bay when that chain went out of business. Local owners renamed it Pullman because of its location adjacent to the Nickel Plate railroad and a small Bay at the northwest side of Grand Lake St Mary's. In 2024 Pullman was dropped and The Bay remained.
