I stopped in before work this morning and they were so nice and helpful! They are having a new espresso machine installed (how exciting!) so she walked me through their cold brew and other coffee options. I’m going to come back with my laptop next time I need a cozy place to work. Bonus: it’s much easier to access than the Dunkin across the road.

Dayton is largely a vegan wasteland. It’s like going back in time….to the 90’s. So, to find a coffee place that actually Carrie’s some vegan items, it’s pretty nice and worth giving them the business. The coffee is good. You can either choose from 3 or 4 brewed coffees, or you can get a pour over of one of 5 or 6 selected coffees.

This is a wonderful coffee shop and probably the best one in the area, it was recommended to us by an employee at Pet Supplies Plus. My wife and I now stop in every Saturday, I get my usual Cappuccino with Oat milk and a vegan coffee cake muffin, she likes to try various coffee drinks. The coffee is wonderful and the staff is amazing. One little caveat is they really need to turn the overhead fans off or at least down. They are always at the highest setting and coffee goes from hot to iced within minutes as a result.

paid $6 for a cup of coffee and was denied a refill which most places offer for free. not worth coming back.

I’ve tried a couple of different drinks from here and I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the consistent quality of the lattes! The service is always excellent even during busier times of the day! 2 thumbs up!

My first impression walking in here last summer- wow their coffee grinder is *spotless*. A decade ago an experienced barista taught me the quickest way to judge a coffee shop is how clean they keep their coffee grinder and it's bean hopper up top.

Every time I stop in, it's spotless. ContempoRoast is run by experienced coffee nerds that understand the importance of cleanliness to a consistently good cup of Joe. You can always expect friendly service and delicious coffee- ask for samples of what's on rotation for drip and pourover, they're happy to give you time to decide. If you get it in a mug, they'll run the mug under warm water to keep the coffee from cooling off. Little things that add up and up and up. Diamonds like these are few and far between, Centerville is quite spoiled now!

For business folks working remote, all the bench seats along the right wall have outlets at your ankle level. WiFi is plenty fast, enough for video calls. Do bring a headset as it's typically lively with other customer's conversations and ambient music.

Pumpkin bar is vegan and gluten free and wasn’t too sweet like typical American desserts. Coffee was smooth and they have multiple plant-based milk options. Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable!
