Everything was good. You are getting 1 star because you stopped allowing the cornbread and biscuits to be brought out prior to the meal.

Went here for brunch, sausage was over cooked and cold, pancakes were over cooked on one side and cold. The breakfast was poor quality not sure what their issues were, first time eating at this Cracker Barrel. All breakfast choices were with hash browns casserole which had onions and cheese. There was no mention of just plain hash browns when asked our server she replied of course but those are a dollar more. Save your time and money eat elsewhere

Cracker Barrel is always interesting. Like every location, the one here in Centerville, one has to find the restaurant on the left back wall of the gift shop. The food was good, and the speed of service was acceptable. There was no wait getting seated. I did enjoy the Louisiana Shrimp Skillet and Cornbread Muffins. I enjoyed my visit.

It was very dark in there. We could hardly read the menu or see our food. My mashed potatoes were on the cold side, gravy was good but lukewarm warm and my broccoli chicken was a disappointment. My husbands salad was good

The food was pretty good but there was a gum wrapper inside of it and it really grossed me out I honestly didn’t want to even finish the meal

Showed up at 8:30 to get dessert. There were 5 of us. We were standing by the hostess stand and waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Nobody. There were 2 girls at the cashier desk talking and drinking their beverage. I asked if we could seat ourselves and they said someone will be right with us. Nobody. The restaurant was not busy and servers were walking by saying that someone would be right with us. Finally got seated. Our server was very nice! I think her name was CJ. Our desserts came out quick and couple of us ordered take out. I got home and opened my food and it was all dried up. The food was definitely subpar and disappointing. Fast food would have prob been better.

Meals are bundled with ham and or sausage. There are no substitutions which stinks. The cashier on a previous visit said talk to a manager when I complained. This visit out waitress said no substitutions. When I asked to speak with the mgr our waitress Angela H. said he will not help. I suppose that was a no. I was pretty upset at this point. Also, their portions are shrinking. The pic below is two eggs and a hash brown casserole.

Vegetarian options: No substitutions for meats. It is difficult for vegetarians to eat here. I dislike their choice to make the hash brown casserole with chicken broth.

Eat there fairly often and always order the southern fried chicken. Last night was the worst I’ve ever had. It was not hot and fresh. It tasted like it had been sitting for a long time. Refill service was a little slow, my server was very pleasant otherwise.

UPDATE 2/12/25:
Cracker Barrel corporate reached out to me after I made this post. They were very gracious and apologetic for the issues and I told them I will give them another shot. I will come back here and post another update after I eat there again.

Disappointing experience for breakfast today. The staff seemed sad and uninterested. The bacon was terrible, had absolutely no flavor. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said do you want more bacon? I said no, I’d like something else. Then before I even finished explaining what was wrong with the bacon, she left our table. Then a few minutes later, she came back with, another order of bacon. Really kind of ridiculous and sad that the staff isn’t even willing to listen to their customers go anywhere else for breakfast!
