It's waffle House your not expecting great service. This one is more interested in their to go orders. We told our waitress Deedra that we were missing a side of bacon, and 2 sides of toast. Got our side of bacon when we were done with our food. Never received our 2 sides of toast. Asked for the check and a to go box. 10 min later got check and the waitress accidentally threw her pen in the food we wanted to take. She said she would get new food but I said no that we had already waited long enough and she said that happens when we are busy and walked away.

I visited my local Waffle House for the first time recently. We were invited to sit at the counter, which turned out to be a mistake. The dishwasher was directly underneath our seats, so we could hear dishes clanking and the door slamming, and we could feel the vibrations while it was running. Combined with employees calling out food orders, it was pretty overstimulating—especially before I’d had my morning coffee.
That said, the food was served as expected, and our waitress was polite and attentive.
It’s also worth noting that Waffle House charges a 20% fee on to-go orders: a 10% service fee and a 10% tip for the preparers. Keep this in mind when tipping, as a standard 20% tip effectively becomes 30% due to this policy. That feels a bit excessive, especially for an order that doesn’t involve table service.

My wife and I stopped in at the Waffle House in Centerville, OH this evening before passing out Halloween candy, and it couldn’t have been a better choice! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding.
My wife ordered two eggs over medium, sausage, grits, and buttermilk biscuits… everything came out hot and perfectly cooked. I went with two eggs scrambled with cheese and hash browns scattered, covered, and smothered, with white toast on the side. Every bite was fresh and flavorful, and the food hit the table fast.
This crew nailed it from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had zero wait time for a table at dinner. The waitress came right over and was friendly. She did have very long and very dirty nails. The waitress was 1 of 2 plus the cook. They all fought and yelled at each other the entire time. The cook pleaded with our waitress not to speak to her that way any more. It was super awkward to be around. Our food was hot and very good though.
