About Oak and Embers Tavern

Oak and Embers Tavern offers a mix of dining experiences. The smoked BBQ is generally well-received, with authentic barbecue described as mouth watering. The staff is attentive, hospitable, and accommodating to dietary needs, making it a popular spot for a quality dining experience. The restaurant features a community room for private parties and a beautiful patio, ideal for gatherings. Customers have praised the service, especially servers like Matt, and the owner, Gina, often makes special visits. Recent favorites include the burnt ends, which are perfect, and the mac and cheese chicken bowl, described as amazing. The atmosphere is lively with events like trivia night, and the place is known for its comfort food and attentive service. The catfish plate is still popular, but some find the BBQ sauce lacking and the brisket can be a bit dry. Meals are served on toast that can be difficult to cut. Customers also enjoy the meatloaf sandwich and beans, and find the place a great spot for conversation. The Chesterland location remains a tradition for many, and despite some concerns about atmosphere, the new woman-owned restaurant has received positive feedback. Overall, Oak and Embers is a favorite for its good food, friendly staff, and welcoming environment.

Had me waiting a half hour past the time our food was supposed to be ready for pickup. Then forgot our brisket, which was obviously the main thing we wanted from there. Disappointed for our July 4th dinner
The dirty grits were incredible. Everything was really good. Def has that southern feel to it. Menu is great and the prices are decent
