Waitress forgot us, and when she finally came by, she said she would be back and never came back after waiting about 2 hours we told another waitress and she went and got our waitress. Our waitress said she could put our order in but we had to go. Not rating the food because we never got any.

Had a great waitress(Michelle, Thank you!), very attentive and good food can't ask for more. Left Full and Happy. The manager even came by to say hello and check on our visit, which was so nice!! We will be back!!

I love their ribeye steak. We get the 16oz and done medium rare close to so as it rests it ends up medium and it is so juicy and with that steak flavor its awesome. Pricey but it's a treat for us at least 1-2 times a year.

I would be ashamed to call this anything but terrible. I eat out A lot and I wait quite awhile before attempting to try it again. I keep hoping it will turn around. It just isn't going to happen. Save your money and eat ramen noodles at home...its better.

Went there on a Sunday evening. We were seated quickly as many tables were available. 20 minutes later we had still not been waited on (even for drinks). Got up and left. Thanks for wasting my time. I’ll go somewhere else next time.

Visited for New Year's Eve. Just disappointing. Our group had steak, which was mostly fat and gristle, ribs with very little meat, and prime rib that was tough. The onion Loaf and loaded fries were great. We should've stopped at appetizers.

Kitchen was a little slow but our waitress was amazing

Pretty good steak. Kinda unusual that they dont serve broccoli and it was a little on the slower side but other than that it wasnt bad.. will probably give them another chance to see if the speed was a one off

Delicious food, reasonable prices, although I wasn't impressed with the onion loaf.

Arrived on a Friday evening at 7:40. We had a party of 15, so I did expect a longer arrival of our food. Upon arrival, there were two tables of 4, a party of 2 in a booth, and 2 patrons at the bar. Not what I would consider a busy time. We ordered appetizers as soon as we placed our drink order. This consisted of the pretzel basket, potato skins and the Damon's onion loaf. She brought the rolls that were left, and were making another batch. When those were done, she brought another basket, but they were undercooked. The bucket of peanuts that are usually placed when you are seated were never brought. Thankfully, another patron who was going to get his own bucket of peanuts offered to bring us buckets, too. Approximately 15 mins. later, the waitress came to take our food order, but did not bring the appetizers. I reminded her of the appetizers, and she said she would bring them. She came back about 5 mins later with appetizers that were likely sitting under the warmer lamps for an extended amount of time, and looked a little worse for their wear. At best, they were average. The majority of us chose the 16 oz. ribeye. It took over an hour and a half for our food to start arriving to our table. Upon arrival, none of the steaks were marked, so we all got to play "rotate the steak" with one another, until we cut into each one and found our desired temperature, and traded it with the person who actually ordered that temperature. The potatoes, baked and sweet were luke warm. The steaks were filled with more fat and gristle than I have ever seen on previous visits to Dakotas. When you purchase a 16 oz. steak, you don't anticipate 4 oz. being fat. The previously used tables around us remained uncleared during our entire 3 hour visit. The waitress was adequate, and you would have thought that she would apologize for the delays. Not even a peep from her about how long it took. A sincere, "I'm sorry," can go a long way. We waited another 20 mins for the bill once finished. No offer of dessert, coffee, or to go containers. When leaving, I asked to see a manager. I explained our evening, and his attitude was very blase. Having been in the restaurant business, I understand the process needed to run efficiently. I explained to him that most of the fault lies in the kitchen, but the front end also needs a refresher in "customer experience." Better efficiency needs to be addressed with the kitchen staff, as it flows over into the entire experience. I also asked him about the "Newly introduced, Damon's onion loaf." He expressed that the owner used to own a Damon's Franchise, (I was already aware of this), and still had the rights to produce the onion loaf. Being the daughter of one of the original founders of the very first Damon's restaurant, Pat McAllister, current Franchisee of Dakota's, and prior Damon's franchisee, is obviously trying anything he can to draw business back to Dakota's, as it is obviously failing. The Damon's onion loaf was always a draw when Damon's was in it's heyday, but Dakota's can't even get that right. Burned around the edges, squished and raw in the middle, and laden with grease in the bottom of the plate. The final straw was when the girl with one tooth, and an attitude, either a busser, waitress or kitchen staff said "Our cook broke his ankle." Like that was an excuse to offer poor service. Mind you, she stated this right in front of the manager, to which he said nothing. It's not out fault, as patrons, that the cook broke his ankle. It is the responsibility of Dakota's to cover adequate staff. If adequate staff can't be obtained, that's when the manager, who should be cross trained, should jump in to be the cook! It's not easy to pack up a party of 15 and move to another establishment. Now, I wish we would have. We used to love Dakota's, and always looked forward to going t

Supposed to be the best ribs around. But yet I could not even get a fork into it could not get it to cut with a knife. The only thing good about that place is the margaritas
