Good Wholesome Homeade Old Style Food and Place...

After walking the entire trail at nearby Hopewell Mound Group Unit Park, I stumbled upon this roadside restaurant serving burgers, fries, fried mushrooms, ice cream, and shakes.

My food was delicious, and everyone was polite and helpful! The entire place was spotless. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff all worked as a team. The decor was cute with colorful, amusing paintings, and a variety of tables and chairs. It appears to be a popular spot for the locals as they admittedly had sold out of some menu items by the time I arrived near to 440 p.m. to place my order. Be patient as sometimes your order may have to be tallied on one of their two registers at the counter, or the drive thru.

Stopped in for lunch and had something called a Texas Sirloin sandwich, never heard of it before. This was delicious the shake was yummy and the owner was as sweet as can be!

Great place with amazing food. Definitely recommend the tenderloin sandwich, chicken n noodles, and the milkshakes!

Very cute little spot. We stopped for lunch and ice cream. Everyone got what they wanted and prices were amazing.

This is a cool little place serving up ice cream and lunch. I ordered a pork and it was by far the thinest pork tenderloin I've ever had. It was big and tasted ok but not much too it. The onion rings were excellent! My wife ordered the fried bologna sandwich and it was delicious. Looking at the food others ordered it appears they put out some really good food. I will go back if ever passing through the area again but I would will pass on the pork next time.
