I ordered a whiting dinner. I live 20 minutes away from this establishment. Got home only to discover I had two pieces of fish fried so hard it wasn’t chewable. I called and the gentleman wanted me to drive all the way back down there so they could replace my order. Unfortunately, that wasn’t feasible. So basically he told me there was nothing else he could do. What you can do is not serve customers fish that’s been over fried and you just lost a customer. Check your food before you leave ppl!

These people are rude as hell. I door dash a lot and mostly for people at work. We ALWAYS order and PAY for extra tartar sauce. WE NEVER GET IT. Today I ordered a couple of meals and ordered 8 extra tarter sauces. I then called the store to let them know to make sure it’s in my bags. The woman who answered the phone was very rude and very short. I asked her if she could make sure I get what I paid for. She told me she couldn’t because she’s not over that area. The place isn’t that big. She could’ve easily passed the message along. The phone is literally right there. I’m sure she looked at the tartar sauce while on the phone. Instead of saying SORRY ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES, ILL LET THEM KNOW TO NOT FORGET YOUR SAUCES, she decided to tell me a lie “if it’s on the ticket, it’s in the bag” and then “have a nice day” click, hung up. Last time I’ll spend my money here. Got my food just now and guess what…..NO TARTER SAUCE!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!

I was very disappointed with the cod fish dinner I ordered at Alabama Fish Bar yesterday on 7/29/25!
The fish texture was rubbery, looked like cod nuggets tasted dried out and old! The batter on the outside of the fish was not crunchy like it used to be! I wondered if that’s why there was no long line outside the restaurant! I don’t mind paying higher price for good food!
However, I do mind when the quality of the food does not match the higher prices!

Never again. My mom and I had been craving the fish here for awhile, you we decided to drive the 25 minutes. First of all I had to let her out and circle around because I couldn't find parking, which was to be expected, and then it took about 15 minutes maybe 20 until she finally can't out. Fish was smelling delicious, my mouth watering and everything. Get it home, put it in my air fryer, because of course it's all sweatie and you have to get it back crisp, whiting looking slightly different than what I'm used to it looking like. Not fluffy and flaky, and smaller, thinner than what it used to be. Fries looked old, didn't even eat them period. Finally ready to eat the fish, no flavor at all. No kind of seasoning, tasted old and fishy. Couldn't even eat it all. That was 13.00 a piece, not counting the gas that it took to get there and circle around. Crossing that one off my list. My fish tastes so much better and it's cheaper for me to cook it at home. Smh
