I had three dishes. Focaccia which was nicely presented but so greasy, it was toasted or fried in butter. It came with truffle butter and olive oil, the olive oil was good but truffle butter…. Nothing special. It was more grease to the already greasy bread.
The tuna crudo was ok. The tuna was sliced too thick. It was square so it felt a little Japanese style or ready to be made into a poke. It was sadly kind of tasteless the dressing over powered the fish.
The carpaccio was really quite awful. The slices were covered in potato chips which dominated the flavor and texture. The pickles were bland and when I did taste the meat without the potato it was so bland, other than the thinly sliced meat this was stretching to call this carpaccio. It missed the subtlety of the dish by a long way. It’s a simple dish with a little olive oil, lemon, capers and greens.
The space is lovely, the staff attentive although the bar staff a little too enthusiastic.
For the price I paid it was just not good enough. Too much style not enough substance

Our server Gold was absolutely fabulous! The food and ambience was amazing but she blew us away!! It was our first time trying Alara, but definitely coming back again, she was knowledgeable , attentive, and sweet—if you dine here ask for Gold!

We were looking for a nice place for our anniversary dinner. First of all the restaurant is beautiful. Our server was absolutely delightful. So sweet. Her recommendations were excellent. We had the hummus, which was delicious. The spinach/arugula salad was amazing. My husband had the waygu steak and loved it. Cooked perfectly. I am a vegetarian so it's always nice when restaurants have an option for me so that my husband can have a steak when he wants one. They had a wonderful vegetarian bolognese. Their cocktails were great and the atmosphere was lovely. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend.
Many items are meant for sharing so prices are not as high as they seem. Creative food with beautiful presentation. Fun vibe. Good wine list. Good for foodies. Upscale yet has a casual feel. We enjoyed ourselves
Alara is an interesting place to eat. Go with friends. If you love everyone getting different things and everyone sharing, this is a great restaurant for you! They have lots of interesting food choices and the portions are quite large - easily sharable. Their cocktail menu is different and served nicely with an elegant flair. The atmosphere is sophisticated and lively, a really pretty place. We sat in the back room (we got reservations late) and I don't really want to sit back there again. But the main dining area is really nice. Lastly it is pricey but if you share it can quite reasonable.
First time dining at Alara. Due to some cancellation by friends, we only stayed for appetizers and cocktails. La Louisiana is s great Manhattan-like cocktail. Hummus appetizer was great. Our server, Mark, took wonderful care of us.
Not photographed, the Caesar salad was actually amazing. The lobster gnocchi was too rich of a dish to enjoy alongside our NY strip. That was probably our fault though. Exceptional service.

The service was gracious. We had carpaccio and crudo- excellent! Ceasar salad then rack of pork and Brussels sprouts & butternut squash. 3 desserts. All excellent and beautiful. 1st time here but I will be happy to return.
Great experience because the food is unique, the service is wonderful, and the place is beautiful! Malik was a great server and should be training all staff serves in the MALIK WAY!
Wendy greeted me at the entrance and made me feel welcomed right away! She walked me thru the restaurant to check out the various seating arrangements/ options. The vibe is great and decor is lovely. Family sized entrees is a nice way to order a few items and everyone shares. Salmon, lamb chops , beet & goat cheese salad and seasoned potato wedges were all very tasty and different. Passion fruit sorbet was palate cleansing and refreshing. Will definitely be back. Thank you ?
Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. All the service - management, bar, wait staff- was outstanding. The food is delicious- wonderfully composed dishes with layers of flavor. We had four different dishes and each was superb. It's a beautiful space but also comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was very good with virtually every dish being shareable. Loved the atmosphere. Service was excellent, food timely. Pricing is above average but if if shared, reasonable for a high end establishment. Great alternative to venturing downtown for a high quality meal.
