Great spot, really enjoyed our first dining experience with them. Food is executed really well, kitchen runs like a fine tuned machine. Dish timing was great, thoughtful presentation, flavors were on point, chefs kiss. Service was fast without feeling rushed. Wine list was curated with intention, they've done the heavy lifting for you, it felt effortless to navigate and pick a winner. Chefs table is a bit awkward feeling more like an after thought than a special dining experience. We didn't get a chance to try the cocktails, but what we saw delivered to other tables looked excellent. We'll be back!

This was the first time we went to Alara. We did go before the dinner rush so we had time to have nice conversations with our server Kayla. She suggested the Seared Sea Scallop dinner. I told her that was what I was there for! It was delicious! My husband had the Prime Ribeye dinner with Lobster tail. He enjoyed his as well. Everything was delicious from the beginning small plates, to dinner, then desserts and coffee. And I can't leave out the wine and after dinner drinks too. It was all great. We did sit in a smaller room off of the main dining area. It was nice because for about a half hour we had it all to ourselves. The restaurant was so pretty but being in that room we missed out on the ambiance of it all. We will have to go again!

Food was outstanding. I chose the beef tips which had just the right level of spice. My wife had the scallops which were cooked to perfection. Josh was very good as were the management and wait staff. First time there - we will be back

My now fiancé and I went for my birthday dinner that turned into a beautiful engagement a couple years ago😝it was excellent, our server Zach was amazing and he made sure we didn’t run out of anything 😃. He also was kind and recorded our engagement. The food came out fast , nice size portions and it was veryyy tasty. They sat us at the front, the view was beautiful everyone was so nice I had a wonderful experience. It was such a vibe. The best birthday ever. The manager was amazing as well. She was very nice. Everyone had amazing energy.

Everything was excellent from start to finish. Our server, Kayla, made sure that every step of the meal from drinks to apps to main meal and dessert flowed smoothly. She gave us suggestions on each portion of the meal and kept our waters and cocktails full all evening. The small details and care that went into every plate made this meal even more special. You can tell that everyone on staff takes great pride in creating a great experience for their guests. My biggest appreciation comes from how much concern they have in making sure that your food allergies are addressed. Our table was immediately across from the open kitchen where you can see the chefs creating their dishes in an immaculately clean environment. We had a mixture of different parts of the menu - Fillet, Pork chops, lobster carbonara. Sides of potato wedges and Carrots. Apps of the hummus and focaccia bread and desserts were Espresso chocolate torte, Dreamsicle Cloud and a Bananas foster creation. We will definitely be coming back.

Alara is terrific. The decor and ambiance are fresh. All employees were terrific especially our waiter Tom. The drinks were well presented and tasty. But the best part…the food. The HOP (Heart of Palms) appetizer and Foccacia! The roasted carrots! The pork chops (recommended by Tom) were so good! Go and be wowed!

We’ve been to Alara a few times and always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. When we went this past Saturday, the server inquired about food allergies and we informed her that one of us has a shrimp allergy. We ordered the H.O.P cakes and potato wedges along with a few other dishes. We were then informed that the H.O.P cakes and wedges are fried in the same fryer/oil used to fry the shrimp and there would be cross contamination. This really surprised us as this restaurant is considered to be fine dining. For those who are vegetarians, it does not mention anywhere on the menu that these items are cross contaminated by using the same oil or fryer that was used to fry the shrimp. We appreciated their honesty, but were disappointed to learn that a fine dining place, where you pay a steep price for food and dining experience does not take measures to prevent cross contamination. Our server was wonderful and attentive and the food was delicious as usual.
Alara is a Cincinnati gem. The venue is beautiful and accommodating. No problem having a quiet conversation with friends. The food selection is ample and varied. I had the Iberico pork chop which is absolutely the best in the city. But, regardless of what you order you are sure to enjoy your meal. On Cincinnati's cold winter nights you'll appreciate the complimentary valet parking, too. Alara does everything right in my book.
