Walking into Allez on a rainy Cincinnati morning felt like stepping straight into a warm hug. Before I even reached the counter, the smell of fresh bread wrapped around me like comfort and memory all at once — that deep, soulful aroma of butter, herbs, crust, and care.

This was my first visit, as I’m traveling from New York, and the vibe hit me immediately:
soft light, rainy windows, friendly energy, and a community heartbeat you can feel in your chest.
The woman behind the counter was warm, patient, and had that genuine kindness that makes you feel like a regular even when you’re not.

The bread?
Listen… I don’t even have the vocabulary ready for what they’re doing in that kitchen.

The loaf I bought was the perfect marriage of crackly crust + soft, tender center, with this whisper of buttery, herby goodness that tastes like somebody’s grandmother and a Michelin-star chef teamed up and said: “Let’s bless this man today.”

Then came the pastries — and that’s where I lost all composure.

Every pastry had its own personality.
Not too sweet.
Not heavy.
But the kind of flavor that hits, lingers, and then softly fades, leaving you right on the edge of wanting another bite… but totally satisfied too.

My favorite?
The apple cider pastry.
Warm spice, gentle sweetness, flaky edges — it met my tongue like it had always been meant to be there.

Between the cozy atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, the rain tapping on the windows, and the kind of food that reminds you life is still good…
**Allez is absolutely a must-visit.

Such tasty breads, fresh and high quality. Stepping into the Bakery you immediately smell baking and hear the bakers at work. An experience and good food.

Urban Sourdough is world class! With seeds, even better. I get my loaf(s) sliced so I can start eating right away. If dared to finish a loaf before I got home, probably could.

My dill and feta biscuit had great texture but didn't have the strongest flavor. Sweet and savory pastries are available as well as a good selection of breads. This is a grab and go space only, but they have a cafe down the street where you can sit inside and enjoy your items.

I purchase sourdough bread for my restaurant here. The best bread in the city, hands down.

Come here if you want the best bread in town. Beats San Francisco sourdough any day. My mom once said don’t bother driving home if you’re not bringing the parm bread with you

Go get a biscuit and ginger cake and carrot cake too

Staff is great

I come every week

Will continue to do so

Cafe also excellent, go there too

to every missoulian: allez is la petit but cheaper, friendlier, and WAY cooler. who needs a rosemary loaf for 9 bucks when you can get a crazy lookin baguette for 4? they also have this locally made butter. it’s got the name of a cat or something. life is beautiful

though, the bread tastes very good at this bakery. My main issue is That I would like to eat bread rather than a bunch of holes. The biggest slices of bread in every loaf tend to have huge gaping holes in them, which make it difficult to make sandwiches. I often wonder if I’m paying for holes with the side of bread. please change your recipes, but not the taste

This place is fantastic. Great aesthetics, great vibes, and great food! Unbelievably welcoming. Whether a gourmet sandwich or a little green salad; their high quality food will hit the spot. Thanks for adding so much to the neighborhood!
