Service was great, no wait and very attentive. Food was mediocre. Ordered èttoufee with 3 proteins. Server came back to state there was an $8 upcharge after the first protein. I ordered 2 and was charged $16, the upcharge was more than the dish. Èttoufee was in a scampi sauce instead of dark roux. It was edible but not what was expected or shown on picture. It was a very small portion for the price.
I've been driving past there for many years anxious to try...not thrilled that I did.

Wonderful vegan options, and had non-vegan options for the rest of the family. The service was great as well. I wish it wasn’t so far or else we would be visiting more often!

Service was great, but the kitchen is absolute crap. How do you completely screw up a burger? A simple burger? Amazing. The cajun dishes are ok, but truly just ok. If you have a choice go elsewhere for dinner. I wish I would have. It will be another five years until I try this mess of a restaurant again.

The Mardi Gras pasta with shrimp was amazing. The corn bread that came with it was great too! Service was nice but a little bit slow. I will definitely be back to eat again.

We have a friends dinner group. It was my turn to pick. Another close by Cajun restaurant would not reserve a table for our group of 10. Allyns gladly accepted a reservation for our group of 10 very easily. 8 from our group was their first time here. Our server Danny set a fun and friendly mood for our evening. He was very helpful in explaining some menu questions we had and was very attentive to our group. He’s a valuable asset to the restaurant. Half of our group got the Mardis Gras pasta and was loved by them all. The rest had a cheeseburger, gumbo, jambalaya, etoufee, and dirty rice. Spicier dishes that were easily quenched with cold Abita beers. It was a solid 10/10 in everyone enjoying our visit. Highly recommend.

Not a bad place. Great for an authentic feel and a drink.
The service wasn't bad either. They were trying. But the food took a long time and they made several mistakes.
The food was good but not great. We were a party of 12, and half of our food looked like it came straight out of a box or bag - you know - the kind I buy at Wally World and cook in the toaster oven and enjoy at home but wouldn't pay 15/plate for.
I'd probably give it 4 stars if I didn't go in with fairly high expectations.

Food was delicious. First time, and definitely not my last. I had the special of blackened catfish over grits, and all smothered with a shrimp sauce.

We stopped in on Friday night and enjoyed our experience, as always. I have yet to get something that I didn't like here and my wife loves the vegan options available. The staff is always kind and the owner was very friendly. This is still one of our favorite places to go.

Service was great but food was bland. My partner got the etouffee which we both tasted and just seemed off. He didn't get more than a few bites in and just focused on the popcorn shrimp which was good. I got the catfish the fish itself was great but just wasn't seasoned very well. Hushpuppies were fine but again just bland. Was expecting more but underwhelmed.
