Husband and I have been looking for indian restaurant that is willing to work with my dairy sensitivity. Ambar was fabulous with this. The food was downright delicious and so fresh. I loved the Lentil soup. Will definitely be returning. Our hunt for a fantastic Indian restaurant has finally ended.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had the honor of partaking in. Staff were incredible and accommodating. Every single item that was consumed was some of the most scrumptious food I’ve ever had. Couldn’t ask for a better restaurant.

Dang this was good. Cool little place with a relaxed atmosphere. Went with a 13-year-old who lives Indian food. We both had great delicious and delicious bread, and mango lassis. Service was amazing and food was spicy but flavorful and not just hot. Loved this little gem.
Food was decent, but not impressive. The biryani was disappointing—lamb was just okay, chicken was undercooked, and overall it lacked the right flavor. Prices felt quite high for the quality. Not the best value for money.

Man I love Indian food but this place is way too overpriced for what you are getting m. Simple serving of chicken curry and naan is $26… other places sell that for $16 and it’s just as good if not better. Food was also a little on the bland side. It’s good but not with the price

My wife and I were up in the Clifton area to see a movie at the Esquire Theater. We decided to have lunch at this restaurant especially since we don’t have any Indian Cuisine restaurants around where we live. The atmosphere was very nice with white tablecloths. We sat in a booth next to a widow and did some people watching while we waited for our food. I had a vegetarian dish made up of Peas and Potatoes in a red Curry Sauce. They asked me how spicy from a scale 1-6. I selected a “3” and it was the perfect amount of spice especially if your like a little kick of “heat”. The next time we go I’m going to ask for some extra sauce on the side mainly because the Rice soaks up a lot of the sauce and I wish that I had more to dip my “Naan Bread” in! The “Naan Bread” is so good! My wife loved her “Chicken Marsala” in a Curry Sauce! The service was Excellent!!! Overall, I highly recommend!!!
I have no clue what the rave is. this is by far the most unauthentic Indian food I have ever had. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and lacked flavor. The butter chicken was more like a bland stew, and the naan was hard as a rock—definitely not fresh. I also ordered a mango lassi, but it tasted watered down and wasn’t sweet at all Save your money and look elsewhere for good authentic Indian food!
Great Indian restaurant. Pricier than some Indian places but ballpark similar. Very nice array of choices. Standard fare to more traditional. Service was quick and polite. Not very busy when we went.
