I visited Cincy for the Open and had sambar vada and rava dosa, and took dahi vada to go. The food was pretty bad. Sambar was bland and watery and garnished with fresh onion and cilantro, something no self-respecting SI veggie cook would do. The rava dosa also had onion, even though I didn't request that. The taste was so-so. I'm dreading eating the dahi vada. I daresay that Amma's Kitchen is possibly the worst South Indian vegetarian restaurant in the US.

Love that it was all vegan except one yogurt chutney! Even had vegan rice pudding which I love and haven't been able to eat, cuz cow pus. Food was tasty, with flavor bomb chutneys for anything lacking. Gobi Manchurian was good, as was noodles and channa. Ppl were friendly and spacious. Would return!

Too much rush when we went as they asked us to hurry when we finished our food. But food was authentic and amazing as the South Indian Cuisine was top notch.

Decent South Indian restaurant serving buffet. It's 40/60.
Some of the dishes like idli, vada, sambar, dosa, plain rice, dal, naan, gulab jamun taste good.
Rest of the stuff is average, the curries are sour in taste, the curd rice has a refrigerator smell.

Have not tried a la carte, so cannot comment.

I went in to get a to go container for the lunch buffet and they don’t allow it, seems like an odd way to turn away business. I just said okay and left 🤷🏼‍♀️ I drove 40 minutes to get there too because someone said they had good vegetarian food. Will not be returning. The staff was not friendly and the restaurant is in a bad area.

We went for the vegetarian buffet on Wednesday. We eat a lot of meat, but did not miss it. The food was fantastic, and different then a lot of Indian fare you get in Cincinnati.

14$ all you can eat buffet from open till 230, I believe

If you're vegetarian highly recommend

I believe a handful of dishes were vegan, if not the majority

Frankly anyone and everyone should enjoy it, regardless of dietary restrictions or preferences
