The Growler Stop Beer Bar • $
3804 Church St, Cincinnati

“This is a hidden gem. You walk in expecting a full on gas station and its an incredible bar and restaurant. The beer in the fridges are outstanding.

The brisket they serve, along with the mac and cheese is well worth it. A sweet BBQ sauce works well.

I'm a fan and love a place like this!“

“My husband and I had dinner here before attending the Nate Bargatze comedy show on Sunday, October 26th. We were running late due to the Bengals game letting out, and the traffic and crowds in the streets were beyond chaotic. We called Bourbon's and informed them of the situation and they were so kind to hold our table for us. We finally arrived and we were greeted and seated immediately. The service, the food, and the ambiance were all excellent. We would highly recommend this place. It's a great location if you're attending an event at Paycor Stadium, the Reds Stadium, or the Heritage Bank Center. It was an easy choice being so close to the venue we were attending and we're glad we chose it!“

“What a great find! We were looking for a place to take a bunch of kids after a birthday Zipline adventure. Decided to try this and it was perfect! The upstairs is amazing! So big and spacious with a bar and balcony and party room with games.
I don't think they want to be known as a place for kids parties, but they were accommodating nonetheless and it was a hit with the kids.
They even had pizzas ready for us when we got there (I called about 20 minutes before we arrived).“

“One of my favorite places to eat. I love the food. Wine selection is good. Service is good.
I have two issues with this place.
#1. They charge $10 cork fee per bottle of wine on everyday but Thursday. That’s a crime. They claim that their wine is cheaper than other places so it justifies the cork fee, but that’s simply not true. I can get most of them cheaper at Krogers. I don’t agree with being penalized $10 per bottle to drink it there. Therefore I rarely go there any longer unless it’s a Thursday. They could at least cut it back to one $10 fee per night.
#2. When they have a live band they bring the tip jar around to each table and expect you to tip the band. I know where the tip jar is and I usually tip the band, but I don’t like how they somewhat force you to tip them by bringing it to your table. Especially when I’m trying to eat my food.

“This place is just a couple blocks away from the downtown Starbucks and the coffee is heaps better. They freshly grind and press each espresso shot and their coffee comes from local roasters. The space is small but they make the most of it in terms of seating. When the weather is nice there is a nice outdoor area as well.

They sometimes have a selection of pastries, but they are limited so I don't count on the food here. If you're looking for a good cup of coffee or tea, though, this is the perfect spot.“

“Inviting atmosphere with great coffee and even better service.

I Stumbled upon this cafe on google and learned that it is one of the few coffee shops that are open late into the evening. As soon as i walked in, i noticed that the pillows in top of the seating rows and the great cozy atmosphere that allows people to work while minding their business which is the perfect mix for a coffee spot!

They have a downstairs too and both floors have a patio area which I will try once the weather gets warmer. The downstairs is a more quiet environment but the main floor is filled with vibes and background conversations so it offers both ambiances that a cafe often calls for.

The selection of wine has depth which makes it a good spot to hangout even after the coffee hours are gone.

As a latino, i loved seeing the empanadas on their menu which is a great snack or meal and goes well with coffee.

I ordered the usual, dark toast drip coffee, yet again and the flavor was a bit on the robust side with a hint of bitterness but delicious nonetheless. I had more than three refills of it and was more awake than a meth head at 3 pm in the afternoon!

The barista was so sweet and was more than happy to take care of my refills every time i stepped up to the bar!

Will come back to try their empanadas.“

My entree was the Beef on Weck sandwich. All I can say is WHAT THE WECK WAS THAT?! So juicy! So delicious! The cooks in the back were raised RIGHT. Best kept secret in Cincinnati for sure. “As a local of 25+ years it would be insane of me to leave anything less than five stars lol. Lots of memories here including the 100 dollar bill memorial on the mirror for my friend groups brother. Rip Bobby. From being a dd drinking water and gabbin about life with the bartenders and other patrons to Jsut chilling on the patio in the back in the dead of winter with blue tarps and a space heater. The buzz hits well and good any time of the day or night. this is one spot a non-local should at least visit once. I promise you will leave with an interesting story of some kind lol. To the locals and regulars, stay safe, call a ride. if you see me ask me for a ride. Only way I'm saying no is if I too have been drinking lol 😊“

The proprietor greeted us at the door and introduced us to his son and daughter, who bartended. Expect solid pours, and a fun, chill, friendly vibe. It's the kind of place where you stop by for one drink and stay until close.“
