Food was great! The owner and one of the people working there had an argument at the table behind us but it was fun to listen to!

This was our first time and such a wonderful experience. The food was delicious. The chicken scallopine was the best I have had. Everything from appetizer, through dessert and lattes was wonderful. Very friendly family run business. Highly recommend.

What an amazing hidden gem. You’ll receive a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door but you’ll barely notice because you’ll be focused on the amazing scent filling the air. Cozy, friendly, delicious.

09/17/2025 - One of my closest friend and I visited Biagio’s Bistro based on her recommendation (she had dined here before). I love Italian food and sadly they did not have Lasagna on the menu. The decor homages European culture from then. The seating was comfortable. They have a small bar that is in a small room with a see through window. Open kitchen area. I ordered a good cocktail, a Cesar salad, their turkey sandwich on the croissant (yummy), and a house made dessert which was delicious. Our server was awesome and as were the staff. Paid street parking out front and near by streets. Decent prices.

2025 update:
Biagio's Bistro: A Symphony of Sauce and Service in Clifton
Biagio's Bistro offers one of the most perfectly situated and worthwhile dining experiences in Clifton, especially for anyone planning an evening out. Its location, just a short walk from the Ludlow Garage, makes it the quintessential choice for a high-quality pre-show dinner. The atmosphere inside strikes a welcoming balance: it is both calm and lively, featuring intimate seating arrangements that ensure the moderate sound level never prevents you from easily hearing your dining companions.

The value proposition here is truly excellent, given the exceptional quality and truly bountiful amount of food you receive. For regulars, the homemade pastas are the undeniable draw. My personal staples are the Chicken Alfredo and the Shrimp Alfredo; both are consistently prepared to perfection and offer generously sized portions. While I lament the pre-COVID loss of the rich Seafood Alfredo, which featured fresh crab meat, the current offerings maintain the kitchen’s high standards.

My wife's unwavering favorite, the lasagna, serves as a testament to the generous portions—even with her limited appetite, the dish is so substantial that she reliably finishes it in two separate sessions, making it a leftover that never goes uneaten.

The most captivating part of the dining experience is often the open view into the kitchen. Watching the chef is mesmerizing, akin to observing a symphony conductor. He is in constant motion, skillfully manipulating multiple hot plates, with every necessary ingredient, from heavy cream and oils to seasonings and clean pans, positioned within immediate reach. His tireless, non-stop dedication to preparing consistently exquisite dishes adds a personalized touch that elevates the entire meal.

The only minor logistical hurdle is securing a parking spot, as it can sometimes be a challenge. However, a few convenient lots are available within a short stroll on the gaslit Ludlow Avenue. Overall, for outstanding food, fantastic value, and an intimate atmosphere, Biagio's Bistro remains a must-visit neighborhood treasure.

Probably the best Italian in the Cincinnati area! The coconut cream might be the best thing ever, wish I lived closer. Definitely a great deal for the prices.

Great local Italian restaurant. My wife and I loved the food, and the very quick and good service. It is also very impressive to watch Biagio himself out in the open making all of the delicious food.

Probably the best tomato soup I’ve ever had in my life. Sub was fantastic, coconut cream pie is to die for. Prices are wildly reasonable for the quality you’re getting. 100/100, place is perfect

Came here for dinner with my mother after visiting some festival nearby. The restaurant itself is small, but not uncomfortably so. It wasn't too busy, and we got in rather quickly. The atmosphere was amazing, the decor was quite charming, and the layout was in such a way where you could see the chefs cooking from the front of the restaurant.

As for the food, I got tomato soup and salad, and we both got a plate of pasta as well. The tomato soup was creamy and delicious, the salad was quite refreshing, and the pasta was perfectly al dente, with exquisite sauces and such. Not to mention, the portion sizes for the pasta were huge, so we had plenty to take home as well. Finally, we ended our meal with a dessert. We got the tiramisu. Sweet, light, creamy, and delicious.

I'll say, no Italian food will ever beat the food in Italy itself, but if you can't afford the trip to Italy, this may be the next best place to go for good Italian cuisine.
