Definitely not worth the headache! The photos and food that were presented as an option was definitely not the presentation at the event. Food staff was overheard complaining about ready to go home, chicken was dry and extremely dark, the chicken fettuccine was bland and the fruit display was a joke! Fruit was presented on a flat table surface, not the elevations shown in the “pre-planning” stages. I absolutely would not recommend

Let me just say I loved it. We drove 2 1/2 hours to get there, and it was so so so very very very worth it.. . The staff was great and the FOOD is amazing. Can't wait to come back again see y'all soon...

Always looking for black owned restaurants to try and we saw this place on Facebook or just online. We got the jerk chicken w rice cabbage and Mac n cheese. That mac n cheese is good af 😋!! The jerk chicken was falling off the bone. Pros n Con... Con... you better get there early cuz the food goes quick lol Pro mac n cheese is delicious.

My first introduction was beyond food heaven. My first plate of food was the soul food platter with the stir fry, but of course the macaroni and cheese was jerked the chicken was jerked; everything about that plate was layers of flavor. It was savory, spicy and not a spicy just hot, but spicy with flavor.
I can honestly say if your Mac & cheese don’t slap like this, don’t make it🤷🏽♂️. Taste and be healed.
There was so much food, it lasted 2 days.
So I told my family and treated them and that made a total of 4 days of eating and being totally satisfied with Real Caribbean Food.
I am for CERTAIN you & your family will love this journey of flavor.

If you want some slappin’ soul food Big Jay’s Place will do you right!! Jerk chicken that’ll leave your mouth watering for more, collard greens the way they’re supposed to be and mac and cheese like I’ve never tasted before!! I will be back for the oxtail my friends!

The whole experience did not disappoint. Ended up here from 2 hours away and tried the soul food plate and by my mother's words it SLAPPED.
Had Big Jay’s Jerk Plate with Mac and greens. Unbeatable! Best food I’ve had in Cincinnati and Jay was extremely kind. Got a bottle of pineapple jerk glaze on the way out. Will definitely be back!

Do NOT ORDER. Ordered 2 JERK bowls via uber eats. Sent chicken. We asked to remake it. The “CHEF” was a complete JERK who refused to exchange the order for their mistake!

I’m always late to the party. Ran across this restaurant on line looking for something completely different. Seen it’s around the corner from me. Never paid attention to this establishment. I got the chicken Rasta pasta and my goodness it’s delicious. 1st bite and I was completely blown away. A little spicy but it didn’t last long. I will definitely be back and referring my friends and family. Hidden 💎. Pound cake was just how I like it too 👍
