Love this place! We finally got around to trying it and are in love. Food: Oh my god... we got the gumbo poutine, alligator and chicken, and jambalaya to split. The portion sizes are great, the flavor outstanding. Can't say enough! We also got the banana bread pudding, equally incredible. Ambiance: The restaurant is super cool and big with different vibes depending on where you're sitting. Love the live music. Can't wait to come back when it's nice out and eat on the patio!

Food was great and the portions were huge! We went for an early dinner after a show and there weren't many patrons, which was great for us.

I could have only hoped to of walked into a place like this in New Orleans. Everything was spot on. From the lovely hostess when we walked in, the blues band playing, the smell that was coming from the kitchen, filled the restaurant and was AMAZING!!!! and our server, Christina, was AWSOME!!!! We were first timers, she walked us thru the menu and drinks were timely. We had mentioned that we recently found out that my guy was diabetic, not only helped us pick what would be best for him to eat, but did not bring the bread to the table, which I think is huge!!! Even though she was busy she took her time with us, she was just, great!!!! Being a server myself, I tend to be more critical when I go to restaurants. ( Which by the way, I served at Pappa Deux, this place's food blew them out of the water) I have absolutely no complaints and the food, omfg it was sooo delicious!!!! I had the shrimp and grits! I do not believe any of the negative comments written, it couldn't have happened, this place was that good! My only disappointment was when we had to walk back out into Cincinnati again lol

We love going to hear the music and have some spicy food. It's a very friendly vibe and really close to Mt. Lookout, Mariemont, Hyde Park and easy to reach from further away. I highly recommend it!

Our first (and last) visit was awful. When we walked in the singer was so loud we couldn't hear the hostess. So she had to yell at us. We were then seated at a table with zero light making it very difficult to read the menu. Our waitress showed up 10 minutes later and took our cocktail order. Cocktails were finally served to us 30 minutes later. We declined them, tipped the waitress and left.

My sister and I met for dinner. We had a refreshing cocktail and pimento cheese appetizer at the bar and then had a meal of fried chicken and fries. Delicious.

Opentable Diner

Restaurant was crowded although we had reservation for 10 people, enrede up being 2 more people added and they were able to accommodate us. We waited about 2.5 hours for our food but it was worth it!

Waited over 90 minutes for food. There were only 6 people in out section. Food was good, service was horrible. Used to love this place, won’t be going back.

We visited this establishment for the first time last night. Our meals were absolutely excellent, and our server Ney was delightful. We will absolutely be going back for more very soon.

Was looking forward to finding a place in Cincy that brought me back to the Cajun flavors from my home in Houston. This came close. Gumbo is the best I’ve found here so far.

Unfortunately, the whole experience was soured by the attitude I received from the bartender. The initial greet was positive, but somewhere along the way I guess I didn’t provide the kind of interaction SHE was looking for and she got very snide with me. She seemed to be passively pissed off as she went about her business and I felt very uncomfortable by the end and asked for the rest of my food togo.

I’d like to come back for dinner and hopefully have a more positive experience.

First visit, food was amazing! The seasoning on the shrimp po'boy is so yummy. Enough spice to feel the heat but not overpower the meal. Very friendly staff!

Such an amazing spot! HIGHLY recommend brunch, the menu is fantastic and so is the vibe! Live music, such sweet servers. It’s kind of hidden away but really great for a date, dinner with friends, whatever!
