The food was fantastic. We got a platter for 2 and wow it was great. Great variety great tasting food and plenty of it. Only negative something happened and we didn't get our food for almost 1 full hour after ordering. The gave us a free dessert for the wait. Other than that mixup service was good.
Absolutely loved my experience! Food was amazing! Jennifer was my waitress and she killed it! She went above and beyond knowing it was my birthday! Will definitely be back not only for the food but to see her! Thanks Jennifer!

Service was perfect, Brittany was awesome and knew we were in a rush, but still managed to get a second cocktail in! The food was outstanding, we just had some apps and a side, delish! And the vibe was cozy chic on a winters night.

I ordered take-out online from this restaurant and when I went to pick it up it was closed. No one answering the phone or the door. Why do you allow people to order takeout online when you’re not even open?

Butcher and Barrel is an absolute 10/10! This place nails everything: incredible food, cool rustic-chic vibe, and the most welcoming atmosphere whether you're flying solo at the bar or rolling in with a party of 20.
We loved how easy it is to go from super casual (jeans and a flannel) to dressed-up date night without ever feeling out of place. The menu is packed with creative, perfectly executed dishes — the steaks are insane, the sides are addictive, and those appetizers disappear fast. Cocktails are spot-on too; the bartenders clearly take pride in what they pour.
Service is warm, attentive, and never rushed, even when they’re busy. Reservations are a breeze, but we’ve also walked in and grabbed a seat at the gorgeous bar with no problem. Perfect for a quick bite, a celebration, or anything in between.
Cincinnati, you’ve got a new favorite — Butcher and Barrel is a must-try and already on our “go back ASAP” list! 🥩🍸🤩

I went there last night with a friend and everything we had was outstanding. We shared three items off of the appetizer list and they were all amazing and were beautifully presented. Great atmosphere too. Certainly not the cheapest restaurant in town, but it was well worth it.

Other than slow bar service and a little loud at times it was perfect. Will absolutely be going back!
We had 5:15pm reservations for a Saturday evening. While waiting for our main courses, we enjoyed a variety of wine, spirits and mixed drinks, and we partook in the bread service, as well as the caesar and wedge salads. Dinner came quickly. The portions were large, but more importantly, the meal was delicious! Each person in our party of six had to take home leftovers. The ambiance of the restaurant was chic and the noise level was quiet for a Saturday evening. Our server was delightful and attentive. This will be on our list of restaurants to revisit when we return to Cincinnati.

Excellent food. Incredible server (Jennifer). She made the evening fun and you could feel that she really enjoys her job. She was awesome.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Our waitress Jennifer was incredible, the food was incredible, the drinks were incredible. If this restaurant didn't burn a small fortune out of me I would be going all of the time!
This place is a hidden gem in Downtown Cincy. I recently celebrated my birthday with my wife and another couple, it was our first time eating there. The service was top-notch, thanks to our server Jesse! She was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Each one of us enjoyed our meal; I highly recommend the NY Strip and the Brussel sprouts. My wife really enjoyed the frites. The cocktails were also great: If you like bourbon, get their barrel-aged Manhattan. Since we were celebrating my birthday, our server offered me a free dessert. However, I was too full and declined. As a result, our server took one of my cocktails off our bill instead! I've never had that offered to me before and it was an excellent touch! We will definitely be back!

We had dined here 3 years ago while visiting our daughter (UC student) and it was great! Unfortunately this experience was just ok. This place is known for their steaks; 2 of us ordered steak and it was overcooked, so not tender but flavor was good. The Chicken Milanese was just ok, too much cheese on top. The Caesar salad was good as well as the empanadas. We will not return.
The food was fabulous, but Jennifer, our server made our night. Super cute, sweet, kind & pays attention to detail.
