The meat for 2 was a nice choice for us. Sever was new and made us feel welcome. She was a great communicator as changes to the meal needed to made bc of out of stocks. Food had excellent flavor. Cook on the steak was a bit over but still tasty.

Do not be fooled by the “fancy food pricing”. The burger was $20 and not at all medium-rare. This would not usually merit a bad review, this happens and is easily corrected through good service. But we did not just have bad service, it was non-existent. Unlike most experiences with bad service where your server disappears, our server was within sight of our table nearly the whole meal and was on her phone completely ignoring us. She did not even perform a basic check-in with the table after we had received our food. While the atmosphere was decent, the whole food experience was completely muddied by the extremely poor service. I expect better when paying $60 or more per person.I will not be dining here again or recommend this place to anyone I know.

Hostess could use a bit of improvement. But this place is fantastic. Mark (i believe thats his name) is an absolutely killer bartender. He never stopped moving, no one waited on their drinks. He's quick and consistent. He's friendly too. If we go back we will definitely sit at the bar. He made our night fantastic. We did the Experience for 2 and it was good. The skirt steak was great. Drinks were out of this world. We'll be back! Thanks Mark

We drove 2 hours to Cincinnati for the weekend. Found this place on google and made reservations. We went this evening for our anniversary and it was the best dinner. We could not say enough good things about Jennifer. She made our night special. The food was awesome and we plan on making this a tradition.

Wonderful atmosphere. Service by everyone we encountered was spot on and excellent. Our waitress, Brittany, was great. The food was simply magnificent.

Butcher and Barrel was an absolutely amazing choice for a dinner night in Cincinnati. Our server Crystal was super sweet and extremely attentive. We ordered the Parrillada Experience for Two which gives you many different cuts of meats to try, all of them were absolutely delicious. We tried the bread pudding with dulce de leche ice cream for desert and they were to die for. We were in town visiting from Louisville and we will definitely be back to have dinner here. 10/10

I lived for many years in argentina. I know well the traditional dishes of that country. I arrived as tourist to the city and saw this place advertised as Argentinian restaurant. Gosh what a disappointment. Not even close to the real savors of the best beef in the world. I will not go into details to save me time, but trust me: this “thing” is not even close to the real thing. Avoid at all cost.

This spot has become a happy staple for our work trips to Cincy! The food is on point *chef’s kiss*! The drinks are generous and DELISH! And the service is amazing! Major kudos to Ethan for being attentive and even anticipating our tables needs, and to Brittany for taking a moment to greet our group, ensure our enjoyment, and invite us back for our next visit! The ambiance is top tier! Add this spot to your 513 spots, you won’t be disappointed!

Just excellent. Grilled Caesar, salmon and the best potatoes ever with creme brûlée. I couldn’t ask for more.

We had a 7:15 reservation and weren't sat until ten minutes after our reservation time. We arrived at 7:15 and two tables were sat after us—one was a walk in and one was a reservation for 7:30. The host didn't apologize for seating them before us or for seating us ten minutes late. For someone who sets the tone of the evening—her personality, or lack thereof, made us feel unwelcome and like an inconvenience. Service was average. Took 15 minutes for cocktails to arrive and keep pressuring us to order despite us telling him we wanted to pace the evening and catch up with our out of town guests. Would go here for a quick, delicious meal but not if we wanted to go with friends or family to catch up.

I just wanted whiskey and a good steak. Even this was too much for this establishment. After a long day at work I wanted to go to my favorite restaurant for a whiskey and a quality steak. My fiancée and I ordered a rare steak and caesar salad each with a side of brussels. They brought out one salad and forgot the other. 13 minutes went by and the server didn't check in so I could notify him about the forgotten item. No big deal, but frustrating. Then the steaks come out forgetting the brussels. One rare. The other medium rare. I bring this up to my server and apologizes and brings it back. Then the Manager on duty comes and asks me to cut the steak in half because "the chef is going to ask", as if it would miraculously become rare. Funny enough, I had to cut my steak with a butter knife to show him because we never got steak knives at a steakhouse. Turns out it was a little bit further past medium well in the middle. They remake it and it comes out a solid medium/medium rare. I just say to forget it and that it's fine.If I didn't have a manager challenge me and I just got my whiskey with a rare steak, I would've been fine. The rest wasn't the end of the world. We're all humans. We all make mistakes. But this manager made it a point to prove me wrong and even after couldn't deliver on a requested product. If I am paying $170 for 2 I expect you to make my food how it was ordered. Not to have some mid 20s manager try to show me up by having me cut a steak in half. I have been here numerous times and it used to be a place I brought clients. I will never return and I suggest everyone do the same.I was here in the evening of Friday, March 1st, 2024
