Cactus Pear used to be a regular favorite when Swami owned it. We would dine here a few times a month. Since Swami sold it a few years ago to retire, the slow decline in good food and drinks began. Most recently our meals were just bad. I dislike writing a negative review, but perhaps it might be a "wake up call" for the current ownership to clean the place up and go back to the generous portions like they used to be. Staff is great, but the food not so much any more.

Came here the day after Christmas. Probably our first mistake. The service was unbearably slow and when our food finally did come out, my shrimp tacos each had 2 of the small shrimp I've ever seen and they were cold. Not lukewarm even, but cold. There was also hardly any toppings on the taco. And the rice was cold. We were in a large group, and I don't think most of us has warm meals. Even getting a drink was painful. I wouldn't come back here unfortunately.

Comically portioned meals and high prices (there was more lettuce than fish on my fish tacos, by a wide margin, and a tiny, TINY sliver of avocado, it honestly couldn't have been there and I wouldn't notice) - not sure we'll go back. Also, they were out of spinach dip? That was weird. Decent service, so no complaints there. Just an odd dining experience all around, though.

Fantastic food and margaritas! Relaxed atmosphere. We drive across town to eat here and always will. One of our favorites. Kid friendly too. We've been patrons for over 20 years! Very good memories and food enjoyed here!

It was very disappointing...The food is not the same quality. Never got what I ordered 2x. My son is serving the military. I was expecting how it use to be. And a special experience . They never brought me bags I asked for.gave them $100 for the bill they did not give us our correct change back!.I wanted this to be a great experience for military son headed back to duty! They didn't care nor acknowledge the horrible experience it was. When I was looking for water also for my Son...the waitress was seating at the bar on her phone.. could careless..what a shame..compared to what it was...we will never be back!!!!?

Not good! They did not have beef, the portions were small and the good was cold. They didn't bring out our food all at once, it was tight and cramped. Very disappointed.

I hadn’t been here for a long time. The queso was disappointing and you paid for chips? Not what I expected. My meal was fine.Parking: It’s great to have a parking lot in Clifton.

Let's start off with the food, which is what most people are on here for. It was good. Not great, but good. When Swami owned the place it was amazing and even a few years ago, we used to get catering and it was always good. One person in our group ordered steak quesadilla and got chicken. The service was absolutely horrible. The server didn't come back to see how the food was, never refilled any drinks and we had to get up from the table to get our check. There were only 3 tables in the entire place that had people occupied. There was no music of any sort playing. When we asked the server if they could turn on some music, he said that he would have to ask the bartender. 25 minutes later, still no music. Do not go. This place has gone way down the hill since the days of Swami, the former owner!

It's been quite a while since I had been there. I used to love going there and I really loved their unusual salsa. I don't know if this was an off day or what, but I was very disappointed with the salsa this time. It was sort of bland and missing something. I added a bunch of salt to it and that made it somewhat better but it wasn't the delicious, unique salsa I remember. The rest of the food seemed blah also. I remember the place was usually hopping with lots of customers, this time, it was almost empty. I'll probably try it again, I just hope the old salsa is back.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Hannah our server she was attentive and answered our questions about the menu. Drinks were amazing! Queso and strawberry margaritas are a must!!!

Very expensive for the amount of food ordered. If you are expecting large portions like most traditional Mexican restaurants it’s quite the opposite here! Margaritas were very good but over priced.

Steak fajitas were chewy so I sent them back. Was still charged for them. Our server was also extremely rude. They shushed my child for being loud. Sometimes young children can be annoying, I get it, but this is a casual joint and that’s inappropriate. I have been coming here for years and will not be returning.
