UPDATE: After several communications with the restaurant, I wish to update my review.

The kale salad is truly delightful. Although the salad is actually $13 and I wish it was bigger, I can't do without it. Sometimes the mango isn't ripe but the totality of the kale, mango, avocado, strawberries, and mint dressing are the taste buds delight.

After discussing the price with the restaurant representative and purchasing a $10 salad from the salad bar at IGA, I succumb that prices are just plain high on all foods.

I was disappointed the restaurant closed at 2 on Saturday because of the snow. We arrived at 2:20. Doors locked. Didn't get my fix of kale.

Previous review:
The salad is very good, the berry/lemon muffins have an odd taste, and the earl grey tea can't really be messed up.

My complaint is the prices are just too high. The tea alone is $7. The salad $12.

Having good good is the best thing a restaurant can have but if it is ridiculously unaffordable to the average customer, it is difficult to return for a second visit.

Had food here a couple of weeks ago and the place is immaculate! The vibes are great, the food is good, and the people are so warm and nice. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the city.

Lovely spot. Perfect for brunch with a selection of fun flavored coffees and good quality mediterranean.

The Jelly Donut Latte was uncanny. The name fits surprisingly well. I have to wonder if coffee technology has gone too far 😆

Cafe Alma was a nice little place to go to for a cute brunch outing. I didn’t know it at the time but it is mostly vegetarian with the exception of some salmon dishes…that was disappointing because I wanted a heartier brunch option. My friend is GF and wanted a sweet option so the only option was the cinnamon apple French toast…when she ordered it, our server immediately told us it’s the worst thing on the menu and he’s definitely never sold it with the GF bread. I thought it was a strange thing to say and definitely wasn’t selling the place to us since we were already skeptical. Anyway, she got it anyway and thought it was fine. I got an omelette with a side of sweet potatoes (they don’t offer reg potatoes) and the sweet potatoes were very under cooked. We got both coffee flights because the server told us the sizes are super small and wouldn’t be filling, but upon their arrival, we thought 1 flight would have been fine. Probably not the best experience with our server, honestly. All that to say, the flight was the best part.

Shakshuka was delicious was was the fresh challah bread! I went for the Balkan version but the green goddess was also a great spinach-forward choice. Service was lovely. A short wait on a Sunday but that's expected.

Was really excited to try this place. Was told there would be a 20-25 minute wait. After 35 minutes, we found a spot at the bar. The bar tender finally came up to us and told us they weren’t accepting cafe or food orders for about 25 minutes because everything was so backed up. So we left. Also, you cannot order a cocktail while you wait. I would have expected that there be a warning that there is a chance you could not order once you waited 35 minutes to be sat, but I guess not. Just walk down the street to Nine Giant, service is great!

I've heard of how wonderful this place is for years and it took me way too long to go! Don't make my mistake, go today!!

The food was amazing and the service was great. Fresh ingredients, delicious plates, and the mimosa was perfection. I definitely recommend the roasted sweet potatoes for the side. We loved what we ordered and I need to go back to explore more of the menu 😍
